Let’s Be Frank
By Mitch Berg
Let’s talk about moral myopia for a moment.
It’s been interesting watching DFLers who two years ago were chanting “when you’ve got political capital, you use it” with a one-vote Senate majority, suddenly…
…whinging like stuck cats now that President Trump is, y’know, using political capital.
Did I say “interesting”? I meant funny.
Almost as funny as watching people who set up badthink databases and Covid snitch lines, who cheered Twitter and Meta censoring opposition and demanded that the unvaccinated people lose their jobs and get hauled off to camps and be shunned from society at large…
…pretend that they wouldn’t have turned in Ann Frank for a Starbucks gift card.

The so-called freeze is a pause to review what is being granted. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on Tuesday that the Trump administration froze a $50 million federal disbursement for “condoms in Gaza.”
. Seems like a good idea to me.
You might find this interesting in that regard:
Ever wonder exactly which government grants fund nonprofits? Now you can know—because I’ve cracked the code.

No. This is hardball. This is exactly what they were asking for.

This explains why Minnesota has the largest organized thefts of government dollars in history. We cannot pause any funding to make sure it is going where it should, not even for a day. We must keep shoveling out the cash because The Children.
I’m wondering why we need to spend so much money on federal judges in federal district courts scattered across the country if any one of them can issue a nationwide order? Why not close down all but this guy and save a bundle? Think how many dollars that would free up for….The Children.

Yea, they interviewed Hakim on some left wing media outlet, about cooperation with ICE. Of course, he was spouting his usual tough guy talk, but ended up backing down toward the end of the interview. Tom Homan ain’t playin’! He’s got a mandate and a mission. He’s already smacked down a couple other tough guy DemoCommie Attorneys General with arrests for obstruction. A friend of mine that is very knowledgeable on constitutional and immigration law, tells me that Homan has that authority to do so, but obviously, that’s his take.

Sorry! Forgot “threats” of arrest by Homan.

Ace of Spades has a post with just a few of the Biden administration wasteful grants that Trump’s order would have paused for review:
$540,000 to transgender consulting. $850,000 to affirm gender identities for military families. Half a million to transgender mental health in Hawaii. $728,747 to Florida International University to help understand the experiences of Black students learning mathematics in a “Hispanic-serving institution context.” Half a million for natural resources management in Honduras. $600 million to various charities and NGOs for immigration. And best of all, $50 million to Hamas for . . . wait for it . . . condoms.
Democrats and the legacy media want us to be afraid, be very afraid, because Trump isn’t letting them play with our money. Bad! Bad Orange Man! Bad!
Me, I’m looking around the neighborhood in case somebody dropped a ballot so I can vote for him again.

All of this bloviating and tough talk of resistance, is DemoCommie code; “Don’t you dare take away our money laundering operation”.
On the national stage, RFK, Jr. really set off Fauxcahontas during her belligerent questioning on Tuesday. When he said to her, “Are you telling me not to sue pharmaceutical companies?”, to which she angrily screeched back, “No I am not!” She has to protect the $5.2 million investment of her big pharma benefactors.

Inspired by the MN Legislature’s 2024 session, WA state asks “hold my beer”.
Step 1) WA House Democrats today eliminated a 132-year-old rule enacted in 1893 that guaranteed free and open debate on the House floor.
By a 54-33 vote, Democrats lowered the supermajority 2/3 threshold required to end debate and vote on bills down to a simple majority.
