The Election Denier

By Mitch Berg

Governor Piglet added his calm voice of non-partisan statesmanly leadership to Minnesota’s constitutional crisis yesterday:

Just kidding.   He’s doing exactly what the DFL in the House are doing.

What’s the term?

Oh, yeah – election denialism:

Watching closely, thank you for insightful updates Mitch. What will GOP do if MN Supremes side with Pigsly? I hope they won’t and uphold what is left of MN Constitution, but what if?.. And it hey uphold, will any DNC turds face consequences for insurgency, usurpation of power and unconstitutionality of their actions? Hmmm…

Thwarting a legislative process is a federal crime. AG Bondi has her first investigation plated up and ready to go.

The current Minnesota budget year ends July 1. What if Republicans copied Democrats and just went home?

“The Democrats walked out, the governor and courts are butting into the legislature’s business, ignoring both the Constitution and the will of the people expressed in the last election, so we might as well go home. State government runs out of money on July 1st. Last one to leave, turn out the lights and lock the doors.”

Would only have to do it for a few days to make the point. Worth a try?

    John,
    2 problems with your suggestion.
    1) When there’s a Government Shutdown in MN, the Courts step in and start declaring the vast majority of spending to be “essential” and government keeps running.
    2) The Minnesota electorate punishes the GOP for intransigence in the following Election. Every. Single. Time.
