It Shouldn’t Surprise Me…
By Mitch Berg
…that Democrats are illiterate about history that’s less than a quarter of a century old.
But they keep doing it:
Forget for a moment that this episode occurred on the orders of Bill Clinton’s disastrous Attorney General, to placate Fidel Castro (who is no way no how Justin Trudeau’s father).
It’s also crap; employer ID verification backed with police enforcement will do the vast majority of the deporting, as people head back south of the border to avoid trouble.
Just like they did after 2017.
(This could, one day, be a Minnesota Highway Patrolman grabbing a kid whose custodial mom wants to trans him, from his father…)

I think someone wrote a guideline about Liberals and Projection. If only I could remember…

Funny! Kommissar Kamala has espoused her belief and most likely her desire to go into people’s houses and take their guns, under the guise of “making sure they are stored safely”.

I just made the mistake of clicking on the tweet and going over to Twitter. First off, the original tweeter is an economist, so he’s probably highly mal-educated. Second, Sen. Mike Lee corrected him, and his response was to show all of his followers how he “owned” a United States Senator with the incisive response “You missed the point.” Sorry Sky, that’s just more projection.
It’s really hard to have a Country when the two major political factions live in different realities (and let’s be honest here, neither one is actually living in Reality because neither will admit there’s a fiscal cliff in our future). I’ve lost count of the crazy things that Harris voters have told me with a straight face are things that Republicans do, and they refuse to accept my testimony that their allegations aren’t true. And that’s in conversation with long time family friends that have known me for over 40 years, and 14 years ago may have even voted for me.
For this issue specifically, as Mitch already stated, the majority of illegals will self deport if they cannot find work or housing. When directly asked about enforcement, even Trump cites self deportation and that law enforcement resources will only be used to deport illegal aliens that are arrested for other crimes and border enforcement to keep them out in the first place. There’s no possible way that law enforcement could do a nationwide sweep to remove 20 million people like they were clearing a building. But the Liberals keep insisting that is the future under Donald Trump.

If kicking out illegal aliens was Good when Clinton did it, why would it be Bad if Trump did it? Don’t we want orderly immigration?
Ah, but Elian was plucked from the sea after their boat sank. He didn’t make it ashore under his own power so he can’t claim asylum as a refugee, same as all those people who walked 1,000 miles from Guatemala only to have Trump force them to Remain in Mexico. They are not Entitled to stay in our country because they haven’t physically arrived here, yet.
Okay, but what about the people who flew in using the CBP One program? They used a cell phone app to claim refugee status and booked a flight from their country to ours. No walking required. Step foot on the Magic Dirt of US Soil and you are Entitled to remain until your hearing nine years from now, unless you miss the hearing, in which case the Immigration Court will issue an order for you to leave (that you won’t receive, having skipped the hearing, and which you will ignore because you know it won’t be enforced).
Close the border.
Finish the Wall.
End CBP One.
And then withdraw from any refugee treaty and repeal any immigration law which gives people rights based on where they’re standing, rather than who they are, where they came from, and what they bring to our country.

I’ve always thought that once a credible citizenship check was in place that self deportation would kick in. Tie it to painful employer sanctions and possibly some form of future citizenship ineligibility and watch it kick in hard.
I try to imagine what the help wanted ads and housing available ads would look like once this all was in high gear.
