Something strange has been happening with jobless claims numbers lately
Calling the state of the U.S. jobs market these days stable seems like an understatement considering the latest data coming out of the Labor Department.
That’s because most of the past several weeks have shown that first-time claims for unemployment benefits haven’t fluctuated at all — as in zero.
For five of the past six weeks, the level of initial jobless filings totaled exactly 212,000. Given a labor force that is 168 million strong, achieving such stasis seems at least unusual if not uncanny, yet that is what the figures released each Thursday morning since mid-March have shown.
The consistency has raised a few eyebrows on Wall Street. The only week that varied was March 30, with 222,000.
“How is this statistically possible? Five of the last six weeks, the exact same number,” market veteran Jim Bianco, head of Bianco Research, posted Thursday on X
I chalk it up to Berg’s 24th Law: Democrats know their audience just doesn’t think all that critically, so there’s no need to actually present facts.

Ha! For at least the last five months, the numbers are adjusted, downward, by the end of the week. Since Pedo Pete is Obama’s puppet, they are using the same math. If someone runs out of unemployment money, gives up looking for work or takes a part time job, they are considered employed and are added to the number. Knowing the at the average DemoCommie slave has the attention span of a gnat, they count on them just seeing the bigger number.

Wait – you’re saying the numbers are phony? You’re saying the administration is lying about the true level of unemployment, same as they do about the true rate of inflation, the true rate of crime, the true number of votes, the true . . . pretty much everything?
Say it ain’t so!

Apparently they’re taking lessons in data collection from Hamas, whose estimates of fatality rates due to the war with Israel are equally “suspiciously consistent”.
The big question is why someone in the department would either put their finger on the scale, or help someone else do the same.

Labor Department is obviously following the statistical method perfected by the Hamas Health Ministry.
