Who Doesn’t Love A Happy Ending?

Woman defends herself from a “mostly peaceful” attacker:

As someone pointed out in the comments, it’s grimly funny that she had her gun ready to go, but had to dig for her phone.

IMO, this doesn’t look like a random attack. I think the dude was stalking her.

This video has been around. I think she’s a cop. Not that it diminishes in the least the point of posting about it.

Yes, a cop. Saw this on Active Self Protection a few years ago.

Did not initiate the conflict? Check. Was unable to safely retreat being backed up against the car? Check.

Reasonable fear of death or great bodily harm? Unclear from the video. He is bigger than her and is advancing on her, but his parents will testify that he is a gentle giant. He only one wanted to talk, to apologize, to explain how he’s changed and things will be better from now on. He wasn’t going to hurt her. He had his hands up or least was trying to raise them when she shot him without warning.

Proportionate amount of force considering the manner of attack? No.

Sad to say, I think in Minnesota this video would get a civilian sent to prison. Cops have different rules of course.

Did I mention the guy is black? It doesn’t look it in the video but he’s 1/16th African American, which under the one drop rule, makes this a racial hate crime.

Is the third precinct rebuilt yet or do we need to find another one to burn?

I hate the idea of “proportionate” response the left tries to push. It’s why wars drag on and criminals can continue to prey on everyone.

Where did this happen? All the writing is in Spanish, I believe.

And in this prospective juror’s opinion, he signed his death warrant when he kept advancing despite her retreat and drawing the gun. The one thing that could be problematic is that I think she shot one last time while he was down and appears, in my mind, to be begging for mercy.
