Or you can contact your county to become an election judge, or you can do so through the MN Sec State at :
http://www.sos.state.mn.us.index.aspx?page=585
which goes into detail about being an election judge, including a downloadable brochure.
Heartfelt applause to you Mitch for your patriotisim in putting this on your blog – this is important information to promote, and it is – along with voting – one of the most important ways in participating in our government and doing one’s duty as a citizen.

Thanks, DG.
This is, of course, part of a party effort to recruit party judges. There is a huge traditional shortfall in GOP judges; many precincts will have Dem but not Republican judges. The GOP is trying to fix that.

I know it was primarily intended to appeal to your GOP readers, but I added the other link just in case that someone considering it but unsure wanted more information.
Let me take this opportunity to mention that similar sites appear on the Sec State online sites for other states for you readers not in MN.
Obviously, I like reading posts where we are treated to more of your deligthful prose than the sort post here, but I do think both your encouragement to your readers to be election judges, along with your encouragement to attend primaries, is something that is hugely important.
You do so much with SitD that enocurages people to be more informed, to discuss their ideas (even when someone like myself might disagree over a specific topic), all of which is great……….but without action, just discussing ideas and issues, well it is not what it could otherwise be.

Is anyone here planning on helping to “get out the vote” down at the DotDay homeless shelter this year?
DG, maybe you could drive and/or vouch for a few homeless a few times to a few polls.
I mean, wasn’t Franken worth the “effort”?
