The link is fascinating reading in a watching-a-train-wreck sort of way.

Tranporting the teenaged female across state lines without parental consent to obtain an abortion, so kidnapping, yeah, but I’m having difficulty imagining the clinic staff strapping a fighting, screaming, crying teen mother on the table to force her to have a non-consensual abortion. I have suspicions about the young mother’s version of the story.
Released on their own recognisance until a hearing to determine if there’s enough evidence to go to trial? There’s cell phone video of the sex acts and a confession by the girl. How much more do you need? The only thing holding me from criticizing the girl’s father for failing to administer swift justice is the suspicion he’s nowhere to be found, he’s in a trailer park somewhere wearing a wife-beater t-shirt drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon while watching All Star Wrestling.

It’s worth noting that abortion clinics are mandatory reporters of things like statutory rape, which this appears to be. Was the report filed?
My thought is that some interventions are called for here, as mother of girl doesn’t appear to have paid much attention to who daughter was dating, and mother of boy is….a piece of work.
