Sounds like another good man thrown into the CD4 meat grinder. I wish him luck but there are a couple of headwinds: 1. I have been out of local St. Paul and CD4 politics for over 10 years but at that time the GOP spent more time in a circular firing squad than they did engaging the enemy. I hope that’s changed. and 2. St. Paul is the seat of government so you have residents who work in state, county and city government all dependent on government largesse. This means they are all DFL hacks. Like Mitch, I lived in St. Paul close to Concordia College and as a conservative I liked to joke to my horrified neighbors that I was the diversity!!! Metro residents don’t like and are fearful of people like me.
