  1. Actually, it is a surprise that MASH hasn’t been rebooted. It’s perfect. Three pseudo-rebellious doctors who “fight” against their far-right wing colleagues in a field hospital of one of those neo-con forever wars.

Man, think of all the possibilities for updating the characters (there never was much of a plot). Klinger can be a vaxed soldier pretending to be unvaxed to get sent home. Burns is a secret cross dresser. But the real fun is playing with the three doctor characters. All three are not-white, of course…

  2. If we didn’t have double standards, there would be no standards at all. I am a veteran, and my grandson is not eligible to join the army because he has flat feet. Meanwhile, if you are trans, you can join the army and never be deployable, or held to any training standard at all. Everyone else has to meet physical fitness standards, except if you are trans. People with illnesses or injuries (or pregnancy) can be non-deployable for a period of time, but if you are never going to be fit for duty, you are discharged, except if you are trans.

  3. yea, it’s funny how Klinger was trying to get section 8 by wearing dresses. I guess words get redefined all the time, like “woman” for example.

  4. There’s a juxtaposition:

Klinger was trying to convince the army he was crazyhad mental health issues.

The army (and the rest of the left) is trying to convince normies that trans people aren’t crazydon’t have mental health issues.

  5. This could help the movie business:

The social workers at the new Social Connection Office could set up dates for people to go see movies in the theater. That would help ugly chicks, doofy guys, divorced people and widowers overcome loneliness, at least for a couple of hours. It would help Hollywood by getting somebody – anybody – to watch their box office bombs. Restaurant trade before the show, bar tab afterwards, carjacking and armed robbery at the parking lot – the entire downtown entertainment industry could revive.

    I think they’re onto something.
