Common Cause

A friend of the blog emails:

Reading this news report at Alpha News, I am struck by this question: Why don’t conservatives make common cause with the local Muslims?

They want good educations for their children, just like Moderates, Conservatives, and Christians do.

Muslims by and large are much more puritanical about these sorts of things and very specifically do not want infidels teaching this spiritually debasing poison to their daughters.

What if Senator Wesenberg and Rep Walter Hudson were to personally approach Imams in their district and statewide for their input on this issue. The Qur’an highlights the community of faith between followers of monotheistic religions (Jews, Christians and Muslims), and refers to them collectively as Ahl al-Kitab ‘People of the Book, a phrase that is used frequently in the Qur’an and Prophetic hadith.

Maybe the fastest way to do this would be for the GOP to amend the education bill with a requirement that ALL MN schools, public, private, and charter be required to have these four books available for their students; “It’s Perfectly Normal,” “Sex is a Funny Word,” “It’s So Amazing,” and “It’s Not the Stork.”. I’ll bet that would shake some peaches out of the trees.

Better yet, someone tell Erin Maye Quade or Leigh Finke to push the amendment.

I bet they’d do it.

As to making common cause with Muslims, especially ones that aren’t tied at the hip to the DFL? The time is long overdue.

  1. How’d he get back to the capitol so fast from the siege of Vicksburg. The real crime is the beard.

When did you start feeling the need to piss on my hospitality? – Ed.

  2. I suspect the problem with that plan will be getting people to see that bad moral social policies override personally profitable economic policies.

Republican church-goers disfavor abortion, as do Muslims. But Republican church-goers disfavor stealing, which at least some Muslims do not, as shown by the day care and school lunch problems. Can we get the law-abiding and moral Muslims to split from their crooked and immoral co-religionists?

It’s similar to the problem with reaching out to moral and law-abiding Blacks, to convince them to split from their crooked and immoral neighbors/children. Not saying it can’t be done, saying it’s hard to see the path.

  3. (Bill Gleason’s protégé)Emery,

If you could tear yourself away from monetizing all our civil rights for a moment please respond to this query

You’re not an expert if you don’t have the credentials!

You love to brag about your indicia of wealth and privilege, why not brag about your CV?
What colleges count you among their alum?
What bachelor degrees do you hold?
Where did you get your Masters?
Where did you get your JD?
Where did you get your PhD(s)? What was it like to work with Bill Gleason?
Where did you get your MD, what internships did you complete?

  4. Most of the Muslims I used to work with were often appalled by most of the LGBT nonsense pushed on them in corporate“Tolerance” training sessions, but they were often afraid to speak out for fear of losing the job or that ICE might prevent their relatives from emigrating successfully.

The key to building this common cause coalition will be finding the right Imams and enlisting their assistance for the good of their flocks.

  5. Biden fired Susan Rice.
New role for Rice as scapegoat coming up.

  6. My take is that before Muslims start voting Republican due to affinity with GOP social policies, you’ve got to figure out their social structures–in some places, that’s the mosque, in others, somewhat different. I’m guessing certain things like “access to government services” currently tends to trump the Democrats’ positions on social issues. Keep in mind a significant portion of the U.S. Muslim population came here as refugees, so those programs/open immigration are not just minor issues for them.

  7. The Qur’an highlights the community of faith between followers of monotheistic religions (Jews, Christians and Muslims), and refers to them collectively as Ahl al-Kitab ‘People of the Book‘, a phrase that is used frequently in the Qur’an and Prophetic hadith.

The naivete. It never effing ends.

Rule #1: All non-Muslims are second class citizens in the eyes of (the) Muslims (who decide shit). The people of the book may be positioned slightly higher in the hierarchy of second class citizens, but they are still underlings, like dogs (which Muslims also abhor).

Rule #2: Any agreements Muslims make (when still a minority) are under the purview of “kitman” and “taqquiya.”. Until they become populous enough to take over (ever notice how Muslim populations grow much faster than the populations in the lands to which they emigrate).

And that’s when the people of the book get to experience the jizya.

  9. Like all narcissists, MBerg believes the problem is other people, not him

How does this apply to this post?

  10. Jdm
Common cause for common goals is the point.
If all you want to do is embrace the differences and your finely tuned sense of grievance then expect failure and needless discord.

  11. BB
Its true that those programs are important to Muslims, the majority are suspicious of the laziness they can provoke and Islam routinely and specifically denounces laziness.

The Prophet () used to say, “O Allah! I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by (other) men.” (See Hadith No. 374)

  12. Mac, if my run-through of only a few of the differences that Muslims exhibit towards us (non-Muslims) indicates a finely tuned sense of grievance, then I accept that. Based on what I have seen that Muslims do to the countries to which they emigrate.

  13. Woolly writes: “Biden fired Susan Rice.
New role for Rice as scapegoat coming up.”

If Biden is serious about unifying the country, he should make Tucker Carlson his press secretary.

  14. Like all narcissists, MBerg believes the problem is other people, not him

How does this apply to this post?

It means ChatGFY is butthurt over our host thrashing it in a previous thread. In re “narcissist,” it demonstrates our troll’s ability to project more than a 20-screen multiplex.

As an aside, since today is apparently jettison day (TuCa out at Fox, Lemon out at CNN, and Susan Rice from The Leader of the Free World’s administration), perhaps ChatGFY is requesting a defenestration a la the former canine commentator.

  15. JDM
the issue is the sterilization and mutilation of children which Muslims find every bit as barbaric and demonic as do Christians and Jews. We should work in concert with the Muslims to stop this particularly demonic law.

If, as you seem to say, any collaboration with Muslims is far worse than putting a check on government support of the sterilization and mutilation of children, fine, then sterilization and mutilation of children will be the order of the day with your blessing.

While you’re looking at history, what’s the history of Christian behavior when they become the dominant culture in any society?

  16. Fox “News” is less of a problem than its gullible audience, most of whom appear to insist on being lied to.

  17. Emery

as another proof of your universal expertise answer this question…

Among so many other things you present yourself as an expert on the ethics of abortion so it should not be difficult for you to answer this question…
At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?

As a bonus question where can I find the text in the Constitution that supports this claim you made:
“The Constitution before amendment said Clarence Thomas should be counted as 3/5ths of a person.”

  18. So, Mac, if you read my warning about working with Muslims as being far worse than putting a check on government support of the sterilization and mutilation of children, that’s a conclusion you’re drawing on your own. And if you think I approve of the sterilization and mutilation of children because I don’t trust Muslims, well, that’s your call.

I would then ask why haven’t Muslims made any overtures to a Better MN to attack government support of sterilization and mutilation of children? There’s a Muslim senator right now, a Zaynab Mohamed, in the very Senate where Sen Wesenberg is active? Did she speak up in support of putting a check on that government support? Or how about AG Hakim? Or maybe the bigamist Ilhan? Any imams? Any business leaders – oh, wait, they’re all outta the country after having fed all the children.

As to the history of Christian behavior when they become the dominant culture in any society, I infer that you agree with me about the behavior of Muslims when they become the dominant culture of a society, and that you’ve now changed the subject to something that you would prefer to discuss.

  19. It is too late. The public schools in MN are gone, the unholy alliance between radical left teachers union leadership and members & the DFL is unbreakable. The only way it can be destroyed is enough parents send their kids to private schools to cripple the schools funding model.

  20. This post is similar to saying some LGBTQWERWETDFG+2-WERF*DSGF are solid 2nd amendment supporters and should not be red-flagged even though they have a mental disorder. So, Muslims share the belief about LQBTW%()&=ERFV-DFBHR with Conservatives, but what about the rest? How about treatment of biological women? Does THAT square with Conservative views? How about belief that ALL non-muslims are subservient to them and HAVE to pay jizya for the privilege of being left alone. I wonder what Mr. Conservative have to say about that? So you set up an alliance with muslims, how long before you are doing their bidding? Chamberlan thought he made a great deal, in good faith, with the thin-mustache man, and we all know how that turned out. But hey, it was a great idea with a lot of support at the time!

  21. MP, most muslims already send their kids to private and charter schools run by Wahabi, so they really have no dog in the fight.

  22. MP, most muslims already send their kids to private and charter schools run by Wahabi, so they really have no d0g in the fight.

  23. The Muslims y’all are referring to in Minnesota, are self important, 75IQ ingrates that mutilated the bodies of US soldiers sent over there to feed their worthless asses. Now they’re in your cities, waiting for a feed.

Im not a Republican, so I really DGAF who or what they tie their wagons to. But if I start hearing ululating on their campaign commercials they are dead to me.

  24. Fox news shitcanned Tucker Carlson today. Leftist degenerates are euphoric, but as usual the are too stupid to realize the truth.

It reminds me of Obi Wan goading Darth to strike him down.

Carlson has been skirting around the edges of the left’s attack on White people. He’s come real close to coming right out and saying it, but was restrained.

He’s the most popular commentator on cable news; there are surely offers rollin in, but I suspect he will go rogue and start podcasting shit that is gonna make lefty heads explode.

  25. Vlad is spot on. Fox’s stock took a big dump yesterday. Carlson is reportedly already getting offers. The leftist turds over at the Communist News Network, used the distraction to shit can racist moron Don Lemon.

Then, over at Comcast NBC, the head dog resigned over an admitted inappropriate relationship with another employee.

The topper was that the architect of Obama’s and Biden’s foreign policy screw ups, resigns her position. She leaves with blood on her hands.

  26. ⬆️ Biggest loss for Putin since Kherson.

How long until Carlson appears on RT or calls FIX woke…

  27. Freddy Sayers interviews journalist Anatol Lieven, Just back from Ukraine:
    https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/anatol-lieven-the-truth-about-crimea/id1540134798?i=1000610568749

Lievin agrees with me, which is not good. Lievin sees the two sides at loggerheads, especially Lieven is concerned that Zelenskyy is constrained politically from his right, by Ukrainian nationalists and the Ukrainian military. Lieven does not believe that Zelenskyy could survive politically if he were to concede control of Crimea to Putin, and his replacement would be to Zelenskyy’s right.

  29. Fox lost 500 million in market cap by firing Carlson.
It is amusing to see the people who pushed the faux “Russian Conspiracy” theory, literally for years, accuse Carlson of peddling fake conspiracy theories. I mean, they have demonstrated no ability to tell a fake conspiracy theory from a real conspiracy theory.
