Unlike Uvalde and Parkland, the cops at the Covenant School shooting in Nashville did what cops (and citizens, for that matter) are supposed to do in the face of a spree killer: meet them with lethal force as quickly and effectively as possible.
As a general rule, spree killers spend a long time, sometimes years, planning their attacks, and frequently carry them out in a fugue state, almost a fantastical reverie. And resistance, especially with lethal force, even if it doesn’t kill or incapacitate them, frequently/usually makes them break off the attack, usually giving up or killing themselves as their fantasy comes to an abrupt end.
The Nashville cops appear to have done it right:
Here’s the body cam footage.
Warning: Extremely graphic.
And these cops, I will thank for their service.

The MSM is tripping all over its self trying to determine what pronouns to use for the shooter. Some have given up entirely and just using her name. Human language provides a common map to human perception of the world and ourselves. When you monkey with it, things break.
Remember the term “sexual preference”? That is how they described “gender” back in the 80s. That became “Gender identity” in the 90s, because the gays decided if they wanted if they wanted legal protection, they had to make people believe that gender identity was an immutable characteristic, like being black or male or female. Then you had a problem because while your race and sex are apparent at birth, your gender ID is not, so the gays had to claim that gender ID was present from birth, though not measurable in any way.
Then, about 2010, the elites got really crazy and said your actual physical sex was not determined at conception, but was assigned at birth, meaning your in utero child literally had no biological sex.
Now the pond has become so muddled they literally cannot call a biological woman (deceased) a man or woman.
And those of you with long memories will remember that it was not until the late 80s (IIRC) that open homosexuals were allowed to teach in public schools in most states. The reasoning for this “bigotry” was that homo teachers would recruit students into their lifestyle against the wishes of the parents.
Hows that working out?
March 29th, 2023 at 8:53 am
Hats off to the officer that went in there without his helmet. Pun intended, and it was interesting to see the tactics they used.
March 29th, 2023 at 8:58 am
She saw the cops, she that this was not going to be an Uvalde. Right up to the end she could have surrendered.
Worthwhile remembering that school shootings were virtually unknown before Columbine (1999).
March 29th, 2023 at 9:24 am
These cops looked nothing like pigs in Uvalde. And I mean PIGS! I was just in Uvalde this past week and I swear every pig I saw on the street tipped scales over 3 bills and had a gut the size of titanic leading the rest of their bovine frame. Motherfuckers could not scale a flight of stairs to save their fucking lives nevermind save any others.

The fact that SiTD congratulates local law enforcement on minimizing the death toll of an entirety avoidable tragedy that happens repeatedly every year is both farcical and tragic. It’s not quite right, but it’s like the US is an entire nation of Stockholm Syndrome victims.
At least 57 killed, 133 injured in 38 U.S. mass shootings this month

speaking of the farcical your cowardly avoidance of this question provides me a seemingly endless source of amusement….
Among so many other things you present yourself as an expert on the ethics of abortion so it should not be difficult for you to answer this question…
At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?
As a bonus question where can I find the text in the Constitution that supports this claim you made:
“The Constitution before amendment said Clarence Thomas should be counted as 3/5ths of a person.”

The fact that gang shooters keep getting counted yet no one talks about them other than gun grabbers is the height of stupidity. NO ONE is willing to address gang shootings. STOP counting them.
March 29th, 2023 at 9:40 am
It’s all hypocrisy, isn’t it? Soros and far-left Illinois governor have each given a million bucks backing soft-on-crime candidate Protasiewicz for the Wisconsin supreme court.
No one can say that Democrats care about preventing crime, especially gun crimes, when they literally spend millions backing candidates like Protasiewicz.
March 29th, 2023 at 9:45 am
Given that by their actions we know that Democrats do not care about gun violence, why do they want to keep law abiding, responsible Americans from exercising their constitutional right to bear arms?
March 29th, 2023 at 10:13 am
“Worthwhile remembering that school shootings were virtually unknown before Columbine (1999).” Definitely, and people speculate a lot about why that seemed to be the turning point.
But, there were definitely school shootings that were at least mentioned in the news before. And kids with the idea. In 1993, one of my friends brought a hand gun to school, pointed at someone from the front of the classroom. The teacher, who was a driver’s Ed teacher and likely used to facing near death on a daily basis, calmly told the kid that he didn’t want to do this and somehow got the kid to hand it to him. The kid’s parents then wrote a letter to the editor, blaming the school and their passive handling of bullies that led their son to this action. Even as a teen, I read that and thought to myself, no, I think you the parents have more blame than the school.

Say rAT?
68% of violent crimes, including murder and mass shootings, are committed by blacks; mostly men, but the females are getting increasingly violent (although at this time, they seen to prefer using chairs as weapons of choice).
*All* of these “school shooting’s” were committed by mentally ill people. Now, cutting your genitals off is a pure sign of insanity, but before the cutting commences, an individual has to be diagnosed with “gender dysphoria”, which is a mental illness the APA hasn’t gotten around to memory holing.
If we banned blacks, and gender dysphorians from being legally able to purchase weapons, it probably wouldn’t have much effect on the blacks, since they don’t purchase firearms legally anywhere near as often as they buy them out of their cuz’s car trunk, but it would definitely keep most White men in dresses, and women in lumberjack shirts and tool belts unarmed, anything helps, right?
Now, yeah, taking into consideration your shocking admission to having made pornography available to your RN nurse as a young child, xe would probably be barred, but hey, gotta break some eggs, right?
Let’s see your support for common sense gun control, rAT.
March 29th, 2023 at 10:19 am
AIUMMP, it looks like that kook Protasiewicz is gonna win a seat on the Wisconsin supreme court. Say good-bye to your short lived period of sanity.

Vlad all they have to do is dump 500 “extra” votes into the hopper somewhere in Milwaukee around 3 am April 5th and the election is theirs
March 29th, 2023 at 10:31 am
I blame Stephen King’s story ‘Rage’.
March 29th, 2023 at 10:34 am
Definitely possible, Blade, the Dems tend to win statewide races in Wisco. They can pull an awful lot of votes out of Milwaukee and Dane County. OTOH, the people in Racine are trending much more Republican these days.
March 29th, 2023 at 11:31 am
Woolly mentions Soros — golf clap 👏
March 29th, 2023 at 11:37 am
Since most of the crime in Wisconsin occurs in Milwaukee, the old adage “when you’re robbing Peter to pay Paul, you can expect support from Paul”, definitely applies. If that stupid beetch gets elected, all of the career criminals there know that they will have an unlimited get out of jail free card. It’s funny how said criminals know who not to target, because we rarely hear about an elected (installed) DemoCommie being the victim of their own stupid laws.

“entirety avoidable tragedy”
OK, I’ll bite, which gun control proposals would have “avoided” the recent tragedy in Nashville?
“At least 57 killed, 133 injured in 38 U.S. mass shootings this month”
I know I’m never going to convince a religious zealot like you, but for anyone following along at home: this “statistic” is what’s known as “propaganda”. The link supposedly supporting it refers to “data” from an organization that created their own definition of mass shooting in order to bolster the numbers to a level they consider scary enough. Basically they do a “bait and switch” by implying that they’re talking about events like the recent one in Nashville, but include things like drug related violence, gang hits, and even self-defense shootings.
A significant majority of the murders that occur in the US every year involve criminals killing other criminals, usually drug and/or gang related. Part of the reason that a tragedy like just happened in Nashville is such big news is precisely because they are so rare. Isn’t it curious that there weren’t national news stories about the other “37 mass shootings” that supposedly happened this month?
The gun banners simply exploit the victims of these tragedies to further their political agenda. It’s actually quite sickening when you think about it.
March 29th, 2023 at 12:31 pm
The MSM is tripping all over its self trying to determine what pronouns to use for the shooter. Some have given up entirely and just using her name.
I think the media should (but won’t) stop giving any fame to these piece of sh** losers. True “dead-naming”.
News report in an ideal world:
And in today’s news, some worthless piece of sh** barged into a school with a gun and was immediately dispatched by a SRO who’ll be receiving a commendation this afternoon and an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii to aid their psychological recovery. The unnamed, worthless piece of excrement will be buried in a pauper’s grave and will receive no notoriety. Let that be a lesson to all you other worthless pr*cks out there with designs on preying on the weak and innocent like a scavenger: No one will remember you. If you pull this crap, we won’t acknowledge you had a name. It will be as though you never existed.
March 29th, 2023 at 1:01 pm
What I found interesting about the body cam videos is the officer saying, “I need three” at the door; I think trying to put a 3-man squad together per training. I get the impression it could be any three (even a guy w/o his helmet) – and he wasn’t waiting for an official hit team to chopper in, or for four superiors to check with their lawyers to be sure their asses were covered.
March 29th, 2023 at 2:02 pm
@NW, to me the interesting detail in just how much touching, shoving, etc they used in communicating was very interesting. I’d forgotten the premium that’s placed on that in these situations, and it appears that these guys followed their training admirably well.
The difference between here and Uvalde is remarkable and underscores the variability in training, dedication, and determination between departments.
March 29th, 2023 at 2:07 pm
nerdbert
You’re right! From the discipline and coordination these guys displayed I think its a safe bet some of these guys had prior experience clearing buildings of active shooters, perhaps in Iraq or Afghanistan.
March 29th, 2023 at 2:36 pm
OK, I’d better correct a “fake statistic” (lie) by Kremlin “Sheets” Tom; although blacks are disproportionately represented in crime statistics, the number is not 68%, but rather closer to 40%.
Back to the topic, yes, I do believe I saw hints of the same tactics when I saw video of urban combat training. I am very grateful these guys learned it well.
March 29th, 2023 at 3:33 pm
No, Delenda, I am correct but I can only find the FBI stats for 2019, so I’ll go with the number I can prove with a link. It’s 55.9%, committed by 13% of the population. You and your BLM friends won’t like the facts, but there they are.
Seethe and cope, Mr. Bubble

Hahahahahahaahaha!
March 29th, 2023 at 3:45 pm
Thanks, JDM. It’s continued to go up since then. It’s 68% now…I gotta find that link.
But in 2019 13% of the population, 55.9% of the murders in 2021 same 13% doing 60.4%…don’t look good for you and your BLM pals, Bikebubble.
“the number is not 68%, but rather closer to 40%.” <—that's what we call a "proven lie".

Unspoken is how taking guns away from middle aged white NRA guys is going to decrease the slaughter of balck-on-black murder.
This is the problem: Violent offender Robert Castillo, 40, was charged in Ramsey County Court on Thursday in the St. Paul stabbing homicide of his wife Corrina Woodhull, 41, in the middle of a Bible study group last Tuesday.
Castillo is not black, but he is typical of the fiends that the justice system has, apparently, decided to keep releasing back into society.
Long record of crime, much it violent (including a hammer attack on one victim). Castillo stabbed his wife at least 20 times and killed her. At a frikkin’ prayer meeting.
March 29th, 2023 at 4:14 pm
Oh, Emery,
“At least 57 killed, 133 injured in 38 U.S. mass shootings this month
”
You’re not distinguishing between “Mass Shootings” and “Spree Killings”.
Progbots blur the distinction between the two, because a) it makes the “crisis” look bigger, and b) they know their audience is mostly not very good at critical thinking.
Everything you wrote was wrong, Emery.
I keep you around because I detest echo chambers, and no other prog provides any relie from that. But less and less are you the sort of relief that’s a challenge.
Up your game, E-dog.
March 29th, 2023 at 4:17 pm
The people of Hennepin County had a clear choice last November: Mary Moriarty, soft on crime candidate who promised to be soft on crime, and a former county prosecutor, a black woman, who promised to be tougher on crime.
Moriarty won a convincing majority.
No one is required to go to Hennepin county & put his or her life at risk so its loony voters can feel good about themselves.
March 29th, 2023 at 4:31 pm
2019 numbers; about 50% of murders. Keep in mind, “Sheets”, that your original category was violent crime in general. For overall violent crime, it was, as I noted, about 36%. I’ll own being off by a few percent here.

In about 30 days the fish will be spawning so the creeks will be filled with thrashing fish for a couple days. Now most of the fish will be garbage rough fish, carp, suckers, but a few are the much treasured brown trout. This is an ideal application of the Catch and Release policy. Put on your waders, take your Fish Landing Net down to the creek and wait. When fish come along scoop them out of the water, throw the carp and rough fish up on the banks and put the valuable brown trout back into the stream. If you like smoked mullet(suckers) take a bunch of them home and smoke them. Leave the rest of the garbage fish on the banks, the eagles, crows, turkey vultures, raccoons, and bears all have to eat too, and they will be gobbling down fish before you are even out of sight.
That is the best application of Catch And Release policies! Anything else is just moral vanity.
March 29th, 2023 at 4:42 pm
I would use FBI stats, Bikebubba. Don’t know if they would be different. I know they lag by a year or two.
March 29th, 2023 at 5:17 pm
My source was using FBI stats, UMMP. 2018. The trick is that if you’re going to get a composite for all violent crime, DOJ won’t necessarily do that for you.
March 29th, 2023 at 5:30 pm
“2019 numbers; about 50% of murders.”
No dipshit, not “about 50%”. 55.9%…” about 60%”
jfc, you just can’t quit lying, can you? 🤣
“Based on data compiled by the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program, it found that while Black people make up 13% of the U.S. population, they were 33% of persons arrested for non-fatal violent crime (NVC), which includes rape, robbery, aggravated assault, and other assaults.”
So lethal, and non-lethal taken together, blacks did >80% of violent crimes?
LMFAO!
Keep going Mr. Bubble you are doing great!! 🤡

Oh MBerg There is no common definition of a mass shooting — depending on which database is used, there is between 8 and 818 mass shootings across the US in 2021. The differences between definitions = 3 or more and 4 or more.
But I suspect your mileage may vary…
March 29th, 2023 at 7:24 pm
Say rAT?
What databases did *you* use to make that conclusion?
Give us a link, because we think you’re a liar.

Where did you do your medic residency?

prisonlegalnews is not a unbiased source, BB.
You are better off sticking with the FBI numbers & avoiding the “secret sauce” of prisonlegalnews (“The study compared the UCR statistics with those from the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS). Whereas the UCR relies on reports of criminal arrests submitted by law enforcement officials to the FBI, the 2018 NCVS was based on interviews from 151,055 U.S. households”).
March 30th, 2023 at 4:42 pm
Looking at the FBI numbers, linked from my source, I see about the same thing. I’ve seen the same basic thing, really, with consolidated crime stats since I was a teenager. Hence I called “nonsense” on “Sheets”.
March 31st, 2023 at 10:17 am
“There is no common definition of a mass shooting”
Correct, because “mass shooting” is nothing more than a propaganda term used by gun controllers to muddy the waters between what the FBI terms as “active shooter events” and the majority of shootings in the US which consist of criminals shooting other criminals.
It’s another effort to exploit the deaths of innocents in an effort to forward a political agenda.
Which makes me wonder if our resident troll feels any shame at all over dancing in the blood of victims to score political points?
