Other Than That, Mrs. Lincoln

It’s not “pro-choice”.

It’s “pro abortion”.

Someone broke out the windows and tagged the walls of the crisis pregnancy center.

But wait. There’s more.

The next day, as the “protest” got going, the staff was repairing the damage. WIth a difference that passive-aggressive MInnesota leftists aren’t used to:

The tweep went on to ask – why the intimidation?

Seems pretty simple to me: Because their people had already committed violence against the building.

Ask any domestic abuse counselor: Violence against things usually escalates into violence against people.

He and the staff are only as safe as the least stable “protester” lets them be.

  1. Ordinarily, I’d fault the guy for carrying that openly, but given that the radical left needs to see that they are defended, I’ll let it slide.

And on the light side, a friend of mine joked that you show Kimbers and Colts to your friends, but Glocks to your enemies. Seems somebody’s applying that wisdom there.

But on the serious side, those running crisis pregnancy centers need to have discrete, but effective, monitoring so that those who attack them can be arrested and prosecuted. Or, perhaps more likely in the Twin Cities, to shame the police who do not do this.

  2. I have in the recent past suggested that Berg and Pig Bodine could pool their resources. Berg could (if he wanted) utilize his band Elephant in The Room and host a fundraiser for crisis pregnancy and adoption services. Here’s a very worthy service that I support.

  3. It is a psychological issue with the people who protest against pregnancy centers, isn’t it? Places that perform abortions are in known locations so they are easy to picket. Somehow the pro-abortion people want to target people who don’t abort babies? Why? What are they doing that you, the protester, are against? Tricking women into having babies? Can they really be that ridiculous?
And BTW, Emery, who until a few months ago was absolutely obsessed with the personal health care decisions of some SITD commenters, now is intensely interested in their charitable giving.

Among so many other things you present yourself as a world renown expert on the ethics of abortion so it should not be difficult for you to answer this question…
At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?

As a bonus question where can I find the text in the Constitution that supports this claim you made:
“The Constitution before amendment said Clarence Thomas should be counted as 3/5ths of a person.”

  6. Your shit-posting isn’t a very effective way to raise money for adoption and crisis pregnancy is it ….

  7. Why in the world would anyone go to Fitzgerald for life advice? He was drunk who married a crazy woman.
And be ever aware, SITD commenters, that Emery is very, very interested in your charitable contributions as well as your vaxx status. Kind of a Nosey Parker, our Emery.

That still doesn’t answer the question…

F.Scot is a source of clever quotes for people who don’t know that he lacked the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and drank himself to death trying.

  10. I clicked the link…not gonna lie…and yes, there was a rabbit hole there…it led to this monument to incredulity

Why did the community protest against a new ‘crisis pregnancy center’ in the Phillips area?
“Research shows that many CPCs give medically inaccurate information and the risks of that can be tremendous on the health of both the person giving birth and the fetus.”

The ‘research’ turns out to be some Googling by a pro-infanticide group…not kidding. They also mention that these crisis centers often do not have a licensed doctor on the premises, but isn’t that something they just made legal for abattoirs?

They are the kinds of rodents 🐀 Emery would nest with, as are the publishers, writers and money men of the Minnpost…they’re vermin.

As I’ve said before, I’ve come 180* on the question of abortion. After doing some investigating, I obtained a fairly comprehensive picture of who is out there slaughtering their offspring, and I’m now of the opinion that for the overwhelming majority or them, sparing us their presence of their spawn is perhaps the one act of civic responsibility any of these rats ever do.

But the shameless turpitude and mendacity the supporters engage in is too much to stomach. Just hoik those toddlers out, flush ’em down and stfu.

  11. MBerg should add a “contribute button” for Crisis Pregnancy & Adoption Services…

  12. Pig, for some (🐀), the knowledge there was a guy who is seen by some as a literary homme d’importance, who loved to get drunk every day and suffered from a debilitating cognitive deficit is a comfort.

  13. Emery
    “Mberg should…”
Much more important, you should answer this question…

  14. A Christian charity volunteer has been arrested for the second time for praying in a “buffer zone” outside a British abortion clinic, according to video posted by the legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) UK.

Officers arrested Isabel Vaughan-Spruce for the first time on Dec. 6 outside of BPAS Robert Clinic in Birmingham, England. Police asked her if she was praying, to which she replied she, “might be praying silently.” A jury decided Vaughan-Spruce was “not guilty” in February, after UK authorities dropped formal charges against her. Vaughan-Spruce was accused of violating the city’s Public Space Protection Order. The order banned, among other things, “engaging in any act of approval or disapproval or attempted act of approval or disapproval, with respect to issues related to abortion services, by any means,” including by “graphic, verbal or written means, prayer or counselling.”

Video obtained by ADF UK and posted to Twitter on Monday showed Vaughan-Spruce’s second arrest.

“You’ve said you’re engaging in prayer, which is the offense,” police said in the video.

    “Silent prayer,” Vaughan-Spruce responded.

“You were still engaging in prayer, which is the offense,” an officer said.

The Constitution is a very thin thread to hang your futures on, Patriots. This is the text book definition of thought crime.

  15. But e-boyz, why should private parties have to hold bake sales to save babies when the taxpayers fund abortion on demand up to the moment of birth?

Why aren’t birth and adoption centers funded by society at large, same as abortions, hospital bills for gang bangers, EBT for illegal immigrants . . . Isn’t that the entire point of democratic socialism? To spread the cost over all of society so private individuals don’t have to pay them?

Why are you such a lying hypocrite on the issue of abortion and birth?

  16. Emery still hasn’t explained why he believes that “The Constitution before amendment said Clarence Thomas should be counted as 3/5ths of a person.”
Maybe Emery will explain to us how Justice Thomas is not a human being at all, but a sonsabonsam out of African myth, a creature said to have iron teeth and claws like spears, that lives in trees and drops from branches onto the unwary traveler and, after devouring them, carries them off to the Underworld.
Ugh. Hard to imagine that. But we all know Emery has some “eccentric” beliefs, don’t we?

  17. And even if the crisis pregnancy center gives out incorrect information, what’s the worst that happens? A woman gives birth to a child. She doesn’t have to keep it, she can give it up for adoption. This protesting and trying to close crisis pregnancy centers is just cruelty for the sake of cruelty. The idea of a mother saying “That crisis pregnancy center tricked me into bearing my child instead of aborting it! My career would have been so much better if the crisis pregnancy center hadn’t deceived me!” is just repulsive to any actual human being.

  18. is just repulsive to any actual human being.

Which proves that libturds are… well… not human

  19. I believe that the reason that feminists (& their male masters) want unlimited abortion is that they want to break the link between being a woman and being a mother (& between being a man and being a father). The reason that feminists are so opposed to a woman giving birth to a child is that they are terrified that the woman will keep the child and begin to think of herself, first and foremost, as a mother.

  20. BTW, DeSantis just killed the FL “blogger censorship” by saying that he would veto it if passed. The MSM is a f*kkin joke.

  21. MP, MSM is but a mouthpiece of the commissariat. Always was, always will be.

  23. To be fair to Emery, I think it’s a good deal that he’s contributing to a crisis pregnancy center. Disagree with him on many issues, and the “big question” is one that I would plead with him to answer, at least for himself, but I respect contributing to a CPC.

Regarding funding, my thought is that neither abortion clinics nor crisis pregnancy centers ought to have government funding, either directly or through “non-abortion related services”. The trick on the latter is that abortion alone does not pay the bills, so when we do contraception and the like at Planned Parenthood, what we’re doing is paying indirectly for abortions while pushing out legitimate, full service medical clinics from that area.

  24. just imagine if this was reversed, itd be front page news and all the lefty networks would be taking about “right-wing terrorism” but it’s a Crisis pregnancy center so we cant have that…
