Open Letter To Keith Olberman
By Mitch Berg
To: Keith Olbermann
I see you’re back at it.
What is it about you morons who got you starts writing about grown men chasing balls around fields, that makes you all such dim bulbs about politics? Eddie Schultz, Mike McFeely, Jim Souhan, Bob Costas…
Anyway – go ahead. Declare “Economic Civil War“.
See how California does having to import all of its water from the rest of the country.
See how New York City and DC do, paying import prices for food.
What could possibly go wrong?

You can add Jason Gay, sports writer for the WSJ, to the list. A few years ago he spewed an unhinged rant about Trump in his column. I actually got into a mud slinging contest over email with him. Not wise on my part, but I can attest that he is a very nasty person. Then I cancelled my subscription.

Olberman says “economic” civil war. What he really means is, he wants to shoot at civilized people that object to leftist degeneracy, but he’s afraid to say it.
He says he wants everyone disarmed, but I’m sure he has at least one firearm himself…that’s how reprobates roll.
His terms are acceptable. I encourage him and his ilk to commence operations immediately.

We discussed this about the left-wing politics of sportswriters the other day. The Strib has had a whole slew of them going back to the 70s.
I think sports reporters have tremendous inferiority complexes about their specialty, sports reporting, when they compare themselves to other journalist types. Some can do something about it, but others like Olberman just don’t have the talent. They compensate their lack of quality work with, well, ranting. Olberman is a first class ranter, like Bluto from Animal House (“Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!”).
The “crooked judiciary”?

OK, so the blue states have big problems with gun violence, most recently evidenced by the failure of a DA in Michigan to insist on a felony charge that would have hampered or prevented the recent atrocity at MSU, and so therefore the red states need to change their laws.
Um, I think there’s something missing in this analysis. Just sayin’. Was Olberman even very good at sportscasting? Or was he just the stereotypical blowhard behind the microphone who makes real sports fans plead “shut up and let us watch them play”?

Nevermind food, how about energy?

Was Olberman even very good at sportscasting?
He was — he worked with Dan Patrick on ESPN and together they were entertaining as hell. But that was in the 1990s and Olbermann has been essentially unhinged for 20 years.

He looks miserable. That makes me smile. He is a big nothing.

Olbermann is completely batshit crazy and believes that Matt Taibbi has been replaces by a clone. It is impossible to exaggerate how insane today’s leftists are. They are whacko, over the rainbow, playing with toys in the attic, utterly can’t-be-trusted-not-to-crap-their-pants krazee.

UMMP,
I remember when he had his failed show on MSNBC or whatever left wing channel he was on. Much like Ed Schultz and Rachel Madcow, the whole show was railing and ranting about conservatives and Trump, with his primary guest being failed D list actor Jeneane Garafalo. I’m surprised that Madcow lasted as long as she has.

Completely agree with Mr D’s 9:05 AM ….. Olbermann and Patrick were irreverent, knowledgeable and played off each other real well in the world of sports reporting/commentary. I wonder if doing that kind of ‘schtick’ made Olbermann think he had to up his game to something more important? What an embarrassing, angry mess he has become ….
