Proposed Berg’s Law
By Mitch Berg
To wit:
People who use the phrase “…stand in solidarity” are almost always entitled, grandiloquent jagoffs who are speaking in support of horrible people who are doing wretched things”.
To wit:
Exhibit B…:
…which also suggests a link between the phrase and bad Latin Socialist Realist art.
Discuss.

Kicking a refugee’s voice off the Foreign Affairs Committee is petty retribution for the misdeeds of far right members.
There is no place in our reality or any conceivable alternate reality where this statement makes sense. Who is taking retribution and for what?
We stand in solidarity with our immigrant community who have been fighting this issue for 20 years.
Why couldn’t they get drivers licenses? What is “this issue”?

Their audience is not one where critical thought or facts matter all that much.
And in saying this, I realize it’s a short jump between “the truth” and an intellectual crutch.

One of the joys of being a House Committee member is that you get to stick “earmarks” into bills that come through your committee.
“”Omar’s sister Sahra Noor was a high-profile executive of the Twin Cities health care nonprofit People’s Center Clinics & Services until 2018. She declined interview requests in 2016. She currently runs her own health care consultancy in Nairobi Kenya.”
That healthcare consultancy is a NGO Sahra Noor founded with Omar’s brother/husband Ahmed N. Elmi. Omar’s sister, Sahra Noor, is CEO of Grit Partners.
I think it would be interesting to identify where the money in Omar’s earmarks went. If you think Feeding Our Future in MN was a big grift think what can be accomplished when you have access to the US Treasury.
There is a reason Omar wants desperately to remain on that committee.

surprised to learn she is off the committee
because we on the far right hate immigrants
i thought it was because we hated muslims
and strong women in positions of power
and persons of color
what happened
the muslim card get worn out
having been played so much
or are her excuses more like listening to ipod
set on random

As usual, absolutely no discernment is taking place. It’s all religious fervor based on a lunatic addiction to “fairness.” We /should/ oppose anti-Semites serving on Foreign Relations, because Israel is an ally, one of the few Democracies in the region.
As for drivers’ licenses, I will ask two things: 1) Why is the DFL ADAMANT that these licenses NOT carry a note saying they cannot be used to vote? [For that matter, why does our Secretary of State permit voting with the use of drivers licenses from states that license illegal aliens?] 2. If somebody shows up at a license bureau and cannot prove citizenship, why are they not promptly arrested and deported?

J. Ewing, US immigration is a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
We keep hearing about how hard working illegal immigrants are. Really? How are they working without a SSN?
And if they are so hard working, why is it so important that they are eligible for welfare?

At least the majority of the comments on both blurbs, are pushing back. I believe that Maria is an anchor baby. You know. She’s a result of DemoCommie’s bastardization of the 14th Amendment.

J Ewiing offered “because Israel is an ally”
Hey, careful sir. Israel is our *greatest* ally. Let’s not dance close to the fire…unless you want to
I saw a clip of Tucker Carlson’s show, wherein he tied the Omar incest/bigamy accusation to “DNA results”. 👀
I had not seen that before, and find it tantalizing to suggest if that isn’t true, I cannot think of a more robust case of slander. Does the absence of legal action from Mogadishu Barbies legal team suggest it’s true. Or if not true, would bringing it to court invite further condemning evidence to come to light, ala QBVII?
I think so.
Conversely, does the absence of action from the GOP House Ethics Committee on that grave charge mean the GOP is nothing but a bunch of self-serving scumbags who want to give the appearance of rocking the boat, while keeping the grift on an even keel?
Absolutely.

While I wait for my last comment (3 attempts) to get sprung from the gulag, I’ll remind y’all that the last time the DL issue came up here, I said I was going to contact my state Senate and House reps, to suggest DL’s from states that hand them out on demand, no questions asked, are compromised and should not be recognized here.
Well, I did do that, and received responses from both men (seethe and cope McCollum constituents). They both suggested invalidating DL’s from scumbag controlled states (like MN) would likely run afoul of the 10th amendment. But my Senator did suggest that people moving here from scumbag controlled states might be required to show alternative forms of ID (like a SS card and birth cert) before being awarded one from us.

“Bad Socialist Art” is redundant. A high school English teacher I knew was asked if Allen Ginsberg was a poet. At first Ray said “no,” then he reconsidered. “Yes he is. A very bad one.”

It’s heartening to see that the vast majority of the comments on Twitter are against this crap, and not a small number of those commenters are of the ‘minority’ population to which this bill pertains. In other words, they’re straight-up pissed to be included in this supposedly ‘disenfranchised’ group.
This I can understand. Nothing drives me crazier as a female to be included in the ‘they’re-too-stupid-and-helpless-to-take-care-of-themselves’ demographic, favored by the left leaning. Speak for yourselves, and your weak-tit party….

Golfdoc, I think that I once wrote a takedown of Ginsberg’s “Howl” in an SITD comment. The Occasion was Camille Paglia admitting that while it was her favorite Ginsberg poem, it didn’t stand up to a close reading.
February 7th, 2023 at 12:34 pm
I’m actually surprised “Howl” has not showed up in a kindergarten classroom, UMMP
February 7th, 2023 at 5:24 pm
It really is a terrible poem. If you identify with Ginsberg, as Paglia did, you love it. Otherwise it is . . . just bad, with confused language and imagery. Reading it is like watching a retarded junkie take a dump in a filthy alleyway. Ginsberg is to poetry what Bruce Springsteen is to the singing voice.
I am not being hyperbolic. I don’t especially like Picasso, but I understand what Picasso was trying to do with his cubism. Picasso was a dedicated artist, in his early, pre-modern days he painted very nice, realistic portraits. Ginsberg never wrote any poetry that mattered, he had no poetic skill, no one will read him once the boomers are dead and gone.

“, no one will read him once the boomers are dead and gone.”
Oh, I don’t know. I think the Jewish faggot community will get around to demanding he be memorialized with a statue sooner or later.
Hopefully across a new border.
February 7th, 2023 at 9:25 pm
Ginsberg would never make a good realist statue. Maybe something abstract.
An example of Ginsberg’s early, per “Howl” poetry:
“America I’ve given you all and now I’m nothing.
America two dollars and twenty seven cents January 17, 1956.
I can’t stand my own mind.
America when will we end the human war?
Go fuck yourself with your atom bomb.
I don’t feel good don’t bother me.”
If you find that you poetic idol is William Carlos Williams you are pretty much on the road to fail.
