A Time For Choosing

A. send your goons after businesses, trying to survive your administrations unconstitutional lockdown. Openly sided with rioters against law abiding people.

Or

B. Yap about “upholding the dignity of every Minnesotan”.

Pick one.

  1. I’m still waiting for him to charge his son with brandishing a scary black rifle during the riots of 2020. Where did he get that rifle? Was it purchased through a gun dealer with an FFA license, did he get it from one of his homies or did daddy arrange for him to get one confiscated during a drug deal or buy back? Did it have a legible serial number? Inquiring minds want to know.

  2. … sorry, can’t help it… how does this legislation – any legislation – honor the dignity of every Minnesotan family?

How does this law makes our streets safer?

And how does it help more of our fellow Minnesotans to afford their lives? They’re not fellow MNs, they’re illegal aliens. And what does even mean to afford a life?

Man, MN is being run by malicious weirdos. Mencken was right: the common people deserve to get what they want good and hard. I expect there’s going to be a lot of legislation and policies that those women from the west Bloomington Cub (that boss mentioned in another thread) come to enjoy.

Wife Beater Ellison has never known what a Minnesotan is. He’s a street thug from Detroit. A black colleague of mine, laughs at this moron and says that if he still lived in Detroit, someone would have popped him years ago.

  4. Wife Beater Ellison has never known what a Minnesotan is

Agreed, but he does seem to know how to take advantage of them.

  5. With a new driver licenses in hand, the formerly “undocumented” are now “documented.”

  6. The problem with cities like Detroit and now Minneapolis is that they become breeding grounds for a social rot that they export to other cities, towns and communities. For instance Polk Cty WI has a growing influx of retired Twin Cities teachers who are getting themselves elected to township boards and passing ordinances that prohibit the operation of farm equipment before 7 am, after 5 pm, or at any time during the weekend, not just because they don’t want the dust and noise but because farm workers are often oppressed and not paid a living wage or overtime. So moving away from the leftist scum(Teachers Unions, etc) is no guarantee they wont follow you and pollute everything they touch.

  7. jdm- “How does this law makes our streets safer?”

Several years ago, the conservative columnist Debra Saunders was tasked with covering California politics. At that time, the liberals in charge (Jerry Brown, Gavin Newsom) were opposed to giving licenses to undocumented immigrants. Her viewpoint was that AAA cited a study where 29% of accidents were caused by unlicensed drivers. She believed getting drivers licensed would at least give them knowledge of driving laws, which could improve safety.

I don’t know if that will be how it will actually work out. I have had friends who were, at times, uninsured drivers. They were the most careful drivers I knew while they were uninsured. I would be surprised if being unlicensed would be any different.

  8. MJB said; They were the most careful drivers I knew while they were uninsured. I would be surprised if being unlicensed would be any different.

Absolute wishful thinking! They are illegal aliens, if they rear-end your Tesla and total it you can’t sue them, they disappear, adopt another identity, get another drivers license and you’re stuck with the bill. What’s the worst that will likely happen to them, they will get deported and be back within a couple months and you’re still out of luck on loss recovery. If their very first act entering this country is to break the law what makes you think they will obey traffic laws?

  9. Just to clarify, the uninsured drivers I knew were white, American born. It sounds like you agree with Debra Saunders that we all would be better off if the illegals knew our laws before driving. My thought is that they would mostly want to be under the radar and would perhaps be a little more careful.

Personally, I wonder what the stats are on accidents these days-most accidents I hear about now seem to be caused by licensed drivers who are high or teens who are joy riding in a stolen car. Licensing of illegals won’t solve those safety issues.

  10. Licensing of illegals won’t solve those safety issues.”
But according to the language of the bill anyone issued a license is automatically registered to vote. Thats right, a citizen of another country is registered to vote in MN (this means YOUR vote is discounted).
Additionally having a license does not mean you have insurance so licensing illegal aliens does not solve the uninsured driver problem.

  11. My thought is that they would mostly want to be under the radar and would perhaps be a little more careful.

Why would they want to be under the radar? Then they cannot get DL, free tuition, free healthcare, rape, pillage, burn and murder without consequences. It is like you believe there is still a rule law in what had been turned into a banana republic. Who are illegals afraid of to be careful of?

  12. Additionally having a license does not mean you have insurance so licensing illegal aliens does not solve the uninsured driver problem.

But you need to have insurance to get license tabs, right?

Mpls/StP and lots of other suburbs stopped pulling people over for expired tabs (and other equipment violations) after Daunte Wright died. So as long as you stay in Mpls, StP, or Brooklyn Center, no, you don’t need insurance. And the state does nothing but maintain a database full of checkmarks of cars that are not registered each year and haven’t been reported as off the road nor left the state.

  13. Regarding uninsured drivers, I remember going to a benefit for a woman grievously injured by an uninsured driver whose family hid him from prosecution. Perhaps statistically, it averages out nicely, but all in all, I think there’s a large demographic “IDGAS” (“I don’t give a ….”) out there that you’ve got to watch out for.

  14. bikebubba- I think there’s a large demographic “IDGAS” (“I don’t give a ….”) out there that you’ve got to watch out for.

That is the larger truth here, whether licensed or not. Lots of bigger issues to address. And we’re not addressing them, even with the licensed citizens.

  15. “But you need to have insurance to get license tabs, right?”

Nope, all you need is a razor blade and some crazy glue

  16. Curious…

What does a 75 IQ mestizo from Guatemala use to verify xer identity to get one of y’all’s bogus licenses? I mean, we know they’re here illegally, but how the fuck do y’all know who they are…are they even from Guatemala?

    Who the fuck cares, right?

Can I come up to Minnesota in my serape and rope sandals, mumble some unintelligible bullshit and get a burner DL?

  17. BN
valid Guatamala birth documentation/certificates probably include church baptismal documents, couldn’t be too hard to fabricate those. You could have a lot of burner IDs and they would likely be Federally approved “True Ids” so you can fly with them.

  18. Still waiting for that simple explanation as to why, if you show up at the License Bureau without proof of citizenship, are you not immediately arrested and put on a bus back across the border???

  19. There is no guarantee that the person holding a foreign birth certificate is the person it describes. Ditto for American birth certificates.
