Expectations

I’ve always detested “Generational” politics. Among all the things that divide us as a nation, artificial, externally-defined demographic trends have to be the dumbest of all.

Still, a huge chunk of the population perceives them – and perception is reality.

David Hogg – like many “prog” human message bots before and many more to come – repeats a set of chanting points that years of indoctrination have inflicted on a disproportionate share of Generation Zs:

Among all the ideas that are sapping the vitality of American civilization, there may be few more corrosive than the devaluation of the term “right”. To much of GenZ, the term is interchangeable with “virtues” at best, “stuff we want” at worst.

The notion that inalienable rights come with ineluctible responsibilities eludes many of all generations – but Millennials and Zeepers appear to be the most vocal in imposing their misapprehension on the world.

So if you’re a Zeep and reading this:

  • There is no more “right not to be shot” (or to “Go to school and survive”) than there is a “right not to have a car crash” . There is a right to live – with a concomitant responsibility and moral imperative to see to your safety, and the safety of those you’re responsible for (a responsibility that law enforcement at Parkland fell dismally short at).
  • You desire peace and tranquility – but it’s not an inalienable right. It can, indeed, be taken away arbitrarily and horrifically. One has a responsibility as an adult to maintain both of them – neither is guaranteed in anyway in the real world.

Hope that helps.

  1. why should the word “right” be treated any different than say… “man”, “woman”, “marriage”?

And how did they get so fucked up, Mitch?

We did it. We did it because we put getting stuff ahead of raising our kids. I spent a lot of money getting my kids educated away from degenerates, but I have friends and family that spent a whole lot less $ and more time with their kids, and they turned out superb.

My boys are not mentally ill leftist lunatics; they’re successful, very good men. But they have misconceptions, and they can’t fix anything. I’m trying to make amends, and have committed myself to helping my kids in every way, and dropping everything to answer when they call. It’s late, but not too late.

I’m not gonna weasel out of this one, and neither are you. We fucked this shit up.

  3. It’s all part and parcel of the same campaign to destroy Western civilization, jpa.

  4. This left wing political correctness is getting out of control…

“Within hours, the school board had voted to fire the district’s first Black superintendent, terminate the district’s lawyer, ban critical race theory and set up a new committee to decide whether certain books and materials should be banned from schools.”

  5. Two welcoming aspects to this:

    1. Trump will split the Republican vote.
    2. He’s doubled his vocabulary from ‘beautiful’ to ‘elegant’ as well.

  6. The biggest welcoming aspect is, the utter chaos that Trump creates makes room for collapse, house cleaning, and score settling.

  7. This will just be too good. When you are that narcissistic what other option would you have?

Please. Republicans please vote for this man in the primaries. Remember all the things he accomplished? Tremendous things! Remember how funny he was on Twitter? Bigly funny! Remember how he pissed off the libs? Vote vote vote!!!

  8. Say rAT?

The fact is, either your degenerate, soy fueled army will prevail, or ours will. I leave that to the pebble in your head to contemplate.

But, how many able bodied White men with military experience, will join your crusade of degeneracy?

There’s no doubt that in the early events, civilian police would obey the orders of their pension handlers, but what happens when 150 million US arms holders have had enough?

I have to travel to MN to collect my lads, anyways.

  10. I remember gas @ 2 dollars a gallon. Bacon at $5/lb. Eggs at a dollar a dozen. A restive peace in Afghanistan, and a Europe free of land wars. Remember that, Emery?
The inflation thing is a Dem killer. I don’t spend a lot of money on food but inflation in food prices is a lot worse than what the stats you hear on the nightly news. Prices for staples are up 30% to 50% in the last 18 months.
    But no mean tweets!
I listen to a lot of news from Great Britain, and man, they are hurting. The GBP is not a reserve currency. Brits are looking at the greatest decline in spendable income since WW2. They have to raise taxes and reduce gov’t benefits at the same time inflation is eating up wages. Be grateful (so far) that you are an American.

  11. UMMP;
Not so fast. I’ve seen people that I know used to shop at Lund’s/Byerly’s going to Aldi and Walmart, due to higher prices. Turkeys are “on sale” at L&B for $2.89 lb. The progs used to cry and wail about the food desert in low income neighborhoods, yet did nothing about it. That desert is now bigger. Between food, the artificially low prices for gas, which went up yesterday, singles and single parents are struggling to make ends meet and the elderly are back to deciding whether or not to buy food or medicine. I’m sure they are not worried that if they get too sick, Commandant Klink will put them into a nursing home to die. Of course, elitist DemoCommie snobs like bot boy Emery, actually enjoy watching those poor fools that voted the DemoCommies back into office, suffer under inflation.

  12. One more thing. I pointed this out last week. Requests for assistance for heating expenses, are now up 33% over last year.

  13. U.K. SUPERMARKETS BEGIN RATIONING EGGS… Ahh…. we live in the best of times!

But, how many able bodied White men with military experience, will join your crusade of degeneracy?

I used to think that too, but no mas. Uvalde pigs is the best example. Degenerates, like in the days of yore will just buy them armies – white men with military experience will do anything for a buck, including opening fire on their own brothers.

  14. The Blackstone founder — Stephen Schwarzman’s decision to drop support for Trump and back a candidate from the “new generation” is a telling sign of the times.

It took awhile to get here, but the general mood I feel in America toward Trump is: boredom. He’s not interesting anymore. He doesn’t command attention like he once did. The show is over. Somebody change the channel.

  15. Gen-Z voters spent their youth having to do active shooter drills at school while the Republican Party laughed at anyone who wanted gun control. It would be interesting to see if that has created a bias against Republicans that will be hard to get over.

I’d also like to note how Gen Z helped make the outcome of the midterms possible — the people with the most to lose stepping up. 75% of young voters below 30 believe abortion should to be legal.

This was a wonderful outcome, and may promise good things to come in 2024. The Democrats (and Joe Biden in particular) deserve credit for introducing sensible policies.

    The kids are alright.

  16. Only in the mind of a nutcase does “losing control of the house and putting Florida in the red column” == “success.”

  17. Gen-Z voters spent their youth having to do active shooter drills at school while the Republican Party laughed at anyone who wanted gun control.

Historical revisionism at its ugliest, Emery. Second Amendment activists and the predominantly Republican politicians they support routinely dismantle the Left’s big and “new” ideas of gun control with empirical data. They push for actual enforcement of existing laws, rather than creating new laws that, if the folks in power choose to enforce, will penalize the vast majority of law-abiding citizens while doing little or nothing to curb gun violence. Mr. Hogg’s school was the site of such gun violence in a Democratic county with a school board who sought to “rehabilitate” a dirtbag under Obama’s Promise diversion program rather than turn him over to law enforcement, even after said dirtbag violated the parameters of the program.

Apparently, expecting enforcement of existing laws and rules equates to “laughing”.

Now, please go sit down next to Mr. Hogg. The adults are speaking.

  18. Did you catch what Emery quoted in his 2:00 PM up above? ‘Fired the first black superintendent’!! The nerve …… can you believe the racism?? Of course they replaced him with …… another black superintendent. Weird version of political correctness, eh Emery? I bet it had more to do with content of character/policy disagreement than color of skin
