Electioneering

By Mitch Berg

One of my personal traditions is, whenever I see someone in an unopposed race on the ballot, and I’d rather not vote for them or leave the spot blank, I will write in one of my pets.

I think today’s Ramsey county commission race leaves is just such a choice; Ren Moran, or my cat.And so…:

If not now, when? If not him, what other animal?

In the past, always used cartoon characters in those situations. Then, the DemoCommies started counting them as valid votes, so I’ll need to do something similar to your strategy, Mitch.

I hope it’s not illegal for Pickle Berg to be a district judge, county water commissioner and as well as Ramsey Cty commissioner.

I don’t expect my dachshund to win any more than you do for Pickle…but he’s officially a write-in in every unopposed incumbent race.
