Democrats, learning Twitter banned discussion on politically fraught topics at FBI request: “Hey, it’s a private company. They can do what they want!”

Democrats, being asked to pay $8 a month for their precious blue checks: “Musk is STIFLING FREE SPEECH ZOMG!!! REEEEEEEEE!!!”

    “Tech dirt. Com” again…

When rAT finds content that stimulates his vestigial brain, he uses it again and again…and again…like he uses that doll arm to stimulate his sphincter.

The Techdirt column has come under criticism for presenting damning info & then repeating it’s a nothingburger! over and over.

It’s clickbait for 75IQ leftist tards.

    ^^ Don’t fret Tom — you’ll always have Parler and Grindr ….

Trump was able to surf Twitter on the huge (and much more diverse) audience that Twitter had built. But there was never any chance of Truth Social reaching that mass, and without that mass, of attracting other users and advertisers.

It’s why every attempt so far to build a “conservative” social network has failed (and will fail): there just are not enough potential users. It’s ironic: the far right wants to build their own Reddit, or Twitter or Facebook — but they can’t. They will forever be doomed to ranting that “libruls are CENsoring our Fre SpeecH!” in subgroups on platforms that more liberal people built.

^^Emery does not know how many real users Twitter has. But that’s okay, neither does Musk.

When rAT is suffering an inflamed prostate, his normally high pitched squeak is markedly muted., and he finds swallowing a bother. So he takes his G&T intravenously.

I wonder about the Masnick guy who wrote the techdirt hit piece on the Intercept. From his bio Masnick seems like a smart guy, but he accepts at face value the government’s insistence that it is “educating” Americans, and not propagandizing Americans. That is an astonishing level of naivete.
You would also think that Masnick would have noticed that the handy graphic he uses showing the categories of misinformation flagged to social media companies did not have actual “lies” as a category. They were opinion-dependent, “insufficient context,” “misleading stats,” “partisan but not identified as partisan.”
Did you know the feds financed NGO’s to pressure social media to censor info on the government’s behalf? Masnick says “no problem!”
The real wonder here is why Masnick decided to write such a nothingburger of an article. He is like Lt. Frank Drebin standing in front of the exploding fireworks factory telling people to move along, nothing to see here.

  12. Blade Nzimande Says:

UMMP, I think “the Intercept” was created to gauge the advancing stupidity among reprobates.

    Take this headline, for instance:

“THE FIGHT TO STOP REPUBLICANS FROM KILLING WOLVES AND GRIZZLIES”

    I didn’t make that up, it’s real.

Without 75IQ nitwits like rAT, the Intercept wouldn’t exist… As is turns out, the readership is growing. 10/10 teh little Peevee is a paid subscriber.

“Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences!” ~ Elon Musk

Well, how does this square with Musk’s sharing on Twitter the allegation that Paul Pelosi wasn’t assaulted in his home by a far-right lunatic but instead it was due to a spat with a male prositute?

The pause in advertising is due to corporate America’s belated sense of self preservation — hardly due to “activist groups”. I also find it incredible that Musk has ostensibly been preparing for a takeover for months now and appears to be ad-libbing his way through it.

Musk expands the scope for the old adage…
“How do you make a small fortune with Twitter? Start with a large one.”

  14. Blade Nzimande Says:

“The San Francisco prosecutor investigating the man accused of hitting Paul Pelosi with a hammer last week is vowing to limit the public’s access to evidence surrounding the case.

In an interview with CNN on Wednesday, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said a “very limited number of family members” will be able to access evidence in the case, including police body-camera footage and the 911 call.

“For us, revealing that evidence through the media is just not what we think is appropriate,” Jenkins told the network on Thursday.”

This is a story that I do think rAT has the expertise to comment on.

So, rAT. What are they afraid of? Was Pelosi sporting a Viagra undapants tent? Was the aroma of ass on his breath? Did investigators place the ‘hammer’ in a biohazard bag?

    tai, rAT!

  23. Emery Says:

Honestly, every single conservative version of social media has been a moneypit. Every single one has lost money hand over fist. So Elon trying to make a social media giant like Twitter, more conservative is very likely to fail. Elon can fix the technology, but as long as a social media company keeps excluding more and more segments of society, the less revenue it will generate.

The more toxic Twitter becomes, the fewer people will want to use it, and the fewer advertisers will want to be associated with it. Then as people are harassed, lied to, or threatened, the legal liabilities will just keep accruing. This is the predictable outcome of this situation.

Twitter is a giant in social media, but it looks like social media revenues are going through a market correction as advertising dries up.

The politically divisive views that Musk has, seem likely to exacerbate that trend, as has been the case with every attempt at conservative social media. Inclusivity is not just a liberal concept, it is also a viable business strategy especially in terms of advertising.

Once again Emery has a strong opinion on a topic about which he knows nothing.
Big advertisers starting pausing ad buys as soon as Musk announced that he was trying to buy Twitter. This really is a nothing to see here moment, every media company facing a takeover sees big ad contracts drop due to uncertainty.
These companies weren’t advertising on Twitter as a charity. They were advertising on Twitter because they saw value for their money. Musk has to convince them this is just as true now as it has been in the past.

  25. Ultra Maga Mammuthus Primigenesis Says:

Emery thinks that Twitter was a money machine before Musk bought it.
Every day it is new comedy act from Emery.

  26. Blade Nzimande Says:

rAT Emery seems determined to ignore the tawdry, degenerate truth of Pelosi’s awful, no fun, GrindR date…so do the degenerates running the SF DA’s office.

A case of circling the wagons? Appears so.

  27. Blade Nzimande Says:

It seems a hammer was involved. What we don’t know is where it was located, and why Pelosi’s head was in close proximity.

Lot to unwrap here…none of it will be anything children should hear.

  28. Blade Nzimande Says:

    Oh! What have we here??

“NBC News has sparked backlash by pulling a segment describing the attack on Paul Pelosi, claiming the segment did not meet NBC News reporting standards.

The report said NBC had learned from sources that “when officers responded to the high priority call, they were seemingly unaware they had been called to the home of the speaker of the House.”

“After a knock and announce, the front door was opened by Mr. Pelosi,” the NBC video report said. “The 82-year-old did not immediately declare an emergency or try to leave his home, but instead, began walking several feet back into the foyer, towards the assailant, and away from police.”

“It’s unclear if the 82-year-old was already injured or what his mental state was, say sources,” the report continued. “According to court documents, when the officer asked what was going on, defendant smiled and said ‘Everything is good.’ But instantaneously a struggle ensued as police clearly saw David DePape strike Paul Pelosi in the head with a hammer.”

NBC has since pulled this report.

“The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards,” NBC said in an editor’s note.

“We apologize, this video has expired,” the video says.”

    Hahahahaha!

  29. Blade Nzimande Says:

The Paul Pelosi GrindR date is this year’s Hunters laptop!!!

And FB is going to announce massive layoffs soon: https://www.wsj.com/articles/meta-is-preparing-to-notify-employees-of-large-scale-layoffs-this-week-11667767794
All these social media companies are in trouble. Twitter was losing money long before Musk bought it. Zuckerberg is desperately trying to use FB’s cash flow to corner the market on the Next Big Thing.
All of these tech billionaires believe that they have achieved their wealth and status by merit, rather than luck.
There should be some word for the phenomena. American-style capitalism spins off billionaires more or less randomly, but the lucky few believe that they achieved their billionaire status due to merit — and not just personal merit, but moral merit as well.

To be fair, he did say Twitter wasn’t going to be a “free-for-all hellscape.” A platform based around user-generated content, charging users to generate content for them. Just turn off the servers and be done with it.
