This Should Solve Everything

Rights come with responsibilities.

Exercising rights without responsibilities is libertinism.

By the opposite token, having responsibilities without rights is tyranny.

With that thought in mind: Attorney General Ellison, trying to look “tough on crime” after 3.85 years of actively coddling it, is going after public enemy number 1: the businesses where the crime takes place:

It’s more than a little tempting to respond “turning a blind eye to violence – you’re going to be perp-walking Mike Freeman, John Choi and the entire 2020-2022 MInneapolis City Council?”

But no. That’d actually get at the ever-popular “root cause”.

What precisely are the stores options?

Call the police? And have the response come far too late to do anything? Or, even if the perps are arrested, watch them back on the street before the paperwork is filled out?

Hire private security? Whose only value is potential deterrence, maybe. If not? They call the cops. See above.

Hire off duty cops? Forget the expense – $60-80/hour – for the moment. Can the business even find any, whatever the price?

What precisely would the DFL ruling class like the knaves to do?

  1. I’m confused, the timestamp for this post is 11 AM (I assume it’s true, CDT and all that). Yesterday evening, the p-boi wrote a long extended rant (does he ever write anything else?) that went on about crime and how the defunding the police movement was all just a simple misunderstanding by you right-wing fascists – and, oh, yeah, it’s all Trump’s fault too.

Anyway, it’s now almost 3 hours since this post was published and the p-boi still hasn’t stopped by to answer the question posed above. I’d sure like to know the answer.

  2. Ellison is a person who is constitutionally unable to deal with exploding street crime. He is literally unable to hold people accountable to the legal system for their actions — unless they are a cop.

  3. Nothing more libertarian than throwing people in prison for wrong-think

“Every teacher, bureaucrat, and school administrator intentionally experimenting on our country’s children with queer theory or critical race theory should be fired and prosecuted immediately. Every law that protects them should be repealed immediately.” ~ Libertarian Party

  5. Emery is busy repeating the latest radical Left memes, I see.
Conservatives don’t get along with Libertarians for many reasons, one of the most important reasons is that there is no room for children in Libertarian philosophy. We are not all rational adults. It can be argued that the most important government policies are those that concern people who are not able to make their own decisions as adults.
Libertarian arguments against conservatism tend to be adolescent and focused on conservative’s desire to regulate access to porn and drugs. When you look at who finances the Libertarian Party, the reason why Libertarians concentrate their fire on conservative’s desire to restrict access to drugs and porn is obvious. The Libertarian Party is bank rolled by porn merchants and drug merchants.

Only an 80 IQ nitwit could conflate “thinking”, about degeneracy with grooming young children for deviant sexual abuse.

Well, to be fair, a 110 IQ pedophile could do that, too. I think we can rule that out in this case…

But wait. I guess an 80 IQ nitwit/pedophile fits too.

  7. first amendment what you think hakim x has a religious liberty right to lie to infidel in furtherance of his holy war on society and that makes it okay for him to lie about being tough on crime when hes actually in favor of policies that increase crime so we should give him a pass for lying thats just stupid

fourteenht amendment grants former slaves the same privileges and immunite as freeborn citizens except hakim was never a slave in the legal sense only in the sense of being a slave to outdated liberal dogma so that doesnt apply to him either

and what do you care what the constitution says its a living document so it means whatever we want it to mean today right thats the whole point of original intent whic all you leftists hate geez cant you at least make a little effort to keep your lies straight

  8. Ellison is just the worst of the worst. What a complete ugly ignorant, women beating prig. Get this CREEP out of office. Marxist, leftist creep. Ick.

  9. Ellison had a great chance to show leadership by rebuking Minneapolis as their PD imploded. He chose not to use his bully pulpit, and as a result, dozens of people are dead and billions of dollars worth of property are destroyed.

Emery, regarding the schools, there do happen to be laws banning various forms of grooming, and school employees are government employees. Like it or not, an “employee” does not have full speech rights when his employer bounds the acceptable range of views expressed.

  10. In the comments to one of the TwitR links Mitch posted, there’s a composite of Hakim X and a White woman who had been badly beaten. Now, I’ve heard that Hakim beat his White girlfriend, but this picture is grizzly.

If it’s a fake picture, I’d sure the shit out of the person who posted it. But there’s crickets from Hakim. I guess it’s the real deal, and if it is, what’s the statute of limitations for 1st degree domestic assault involving great bodily harm?

Will Jim prosecute Hakim if he wins?

  11. When a state has an Attorney General, who refuses to prosecute criminals based on political convictions and equity policies, a state does not really have an Attorney General or reasonable law enforcement protection for its citizenship. Ellison has served Minnesota as an activist not an Attorney General and the results of his failed policies have been catastrophic for the Minnesota public. A change is needed…….
