Lowering Costs!

Not sure how I got on this mailing list but here’s the latest news: Angie Craig hates my vehicle warranty. She wants me to burn E15 which the service advisor told me not to do, absolutely not, voids my warranty.

She also hates my family grocery budget. She’s proud to have taken bold, decisive action to address skyrocketing food costs by . . . appointing a task force to submit a report to Congress in nine months. I’m sure that’ll be a big help when I’m standing in the checkout line this weekend.

I would click “unsubscribe” except I’m pretty sure it would automatically put me on the No Fly List, the IRS Audit list, and the January 6 co-conspirator list so the FBI can bust down my door while CNN films. I guess I’ll just click “delete” instead.

It’s probably the best idea.

But, JD, Angie Craig understands how hard it is when family budgets get squeezed by rising costs. I don’t understand your doubts.

    Hey Angie,

You want to really do some good for hard-pressed low-income, under-represented people of every color?

    Eliminate cigarette taxes.

In Minnesota, a pack of smokes goes for $8.

Figure if both mom and dad smoke a pack a day, That’s $5,840 of after tax income a year.

At least you could cut the federal slice of that.

And uh, don’t even think of suggesting that maybe they should stop smoking, I mean, after all, it’s too much to ask the hook up set to employ contraception, now isn’t it?

The gas and food juxtaposition is ironic.
Ethanol is considered green because the CO2 emitted when it burns was bound into the plant when it grew, so net CO2 emissions == 0. Fossil fuels are bad because the CO2 emitted when it burns was bound into it millions of years ago, so when we burn fossil fuels we are releasing thousands or millions of years of accumulated CO2.
But the flaw is obvious to people with common sense. You can grow corn to produce ethanol to feed people, or you can grow it to burn.
You can’t turn crude oil into food.
Given a choice, people will not burn food and leave fossil fuel in the ground.
Our elites are insane. Literally insane, they live in a make-believe world that can never be, where we burn food while people starve, where women can rape men and get them pregnant, so that the poor man must either give birth to his rapist’s child or abort it, where children of black millionaires attend Harvard despite enduring the soul-crushing oppression of poverty stricken white meth addicts living in trailer parks.

Obviously she’s in favor of more ground-level ozone or smog in the summer.
