  1. “understanding of the complex underlying causes of crime ”
    Uh-oh.

  2. Ho. Hum. Just another narcissistic, left wing sjw lawya that wants to circumvent the Constitution.

  3. “My experience, knowledge of our communities and the people who live in them, and understanding of the complex underlying causes of crime make me well-prepared to tackle these challenges.”

Huh. I can’t recall ever having run into xer at Merwyn Liquors.

  4. “I believe this is our time to forge a new path forward; one that keeps our community safe while also ending the cycles of mass incarceration that have decimated communities of color and broken up too many families.”
You know what breaks up a family? Having a loved one murdered by some cretin the county attorney refused to prosecute.
I am serious, these looneys believe that holding people accountable for their crimes causes crime.

  5. But decades of lived experience, supported by research and data, shows that we cannot simply prosecute and incarcerate our way to true community safety.

Perhaps give it a try tho’.

  6. I bet she would be a model prosecutor. She’d bring charges only when she believed the evidence showed guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. She’d adhere strictly to the rules of evidence and procedure, never attempting to gain an unfair advantage to obtain a conviction. She’d cut all close calls in favor of the accused and against the state, complying with the spirit of the Constitution. She’d take to heard the admonition that a prosecutor’s job is not to win convictions, it is to do justice.

Okay, yes, crime will continue to skyrocket but that’s not her fault, it’s society’s fault for failing to spend less on uniformed thugs and more on midnight basketball, less on public subsidies for sports teams and more on subsidies for young people, women and persons of color. The people appearing in court are not to blame, they’re depraved on account of they’re deprived.

Hennepin County definitely should vote for her, soon, and often.

  7. I am hard pressed to think of a worse choice, unless it were Mr. Ellison but he already has a job for which he is unqualified.

  8. ^ Man, you’re good at that lawyer talk, JD. That bit about the spirit of the Constitution almost made me spit out my coffee. Too bad you’re so old-fashioned, you couldn’t work in something about the importance of research and data. You know. Because when those criminals get a pass, *shrug* it’s Science!

  9. Do I need to put a warning on my posts? I already owe you one t-shirt.

Kathy Schaidle from Five Feet of Fury had a great line: “You’re Not Smart Enough to Tell Me How to Live.” Can’t find it on a t-shirt, though. I’ll keep looking

  10. Boy, she does a great job of showing that adage, “If you can’t blind them with brilliance, you can baffle them with b**ls**t.” I also appreciate how she is so stalwart about abortion rights, as if it takes a whole lot of courage to stand by the state constitution.

Well, I guess it does if the state constitution is offensive to the left and amenable to the right, but that’s not the case here.

One question; is there any listing of which candidates Soros is supporting? I’ve tried to take a peek, and I’ve not succeeded.

  11. JD.
Sounds like a side line business opportunity to me. There is a shop in Bloomington that doesn’t have a minimum order, so you could do a test run. Who knows, you might become the next T shirt millionaire. 😎

  12. Thanks for the tip, Bike.

For myself, I’d like one saying, “You can’t even run your own life, I’ll be DAMNED if you’ll run mine.”

  13. ” I’m running to continue my life’s work in public service,”

That should scare the hell out of anyone.

  14. No worries, JD. Anything that I see like that, I just attribute it to that damn autocorrect. Ha! Speaking of telling others how to do things…

  15. Thanks for the (undeserved) credit, Joe. For reference, there are small t shirt shops all over that will do small batches. I’ve seen good work out of a shop in Kasson and another in Rochester, for example–they do a lot of work with homeschool activities, sporting events, and the like.

There are even shops that will customize shirts for a modest fee, and I did my own “race organizer” t-shirt when I coordinated the water breaks for my kids’ marathon during the epidemic. You can buy the t-shirts and t shirt paint at Hobby Lobby.
