Conundrum
By Mitch Berg
In his, er, “speech” last night, President Dementio McGropey opened by saying what every “progressive” says: “I’m not coming for your guns” [1]
He then went on to say:
So…they’re not taking guns, except for the ones they’re taking?
But go ahead, Democrats: Ignore the economy, inflation, war, shortages of essentials, the collapsing supply chain, the housing shortage and the collapse of the middle class (even more than you already do).
Focus on guns this fall.
I beg of you.
[1] The actual quote is irrelevant, it’s always the same idea.

Misinformation is all Liberals have, they can’t speak the truth because everybody would see how insane they are.
It’s like endlessly repeating the mantra “no evidence of voter fraud” when voter fraud is not the issue, electoral fraud is the issue. Voter fraud occurs when a voter casts an illegal vote (for example a college student who votes in person at college and absentee at home). Nobody thinks college student fraud threw the election. Electoral fraud occurs when election officials manipulate the results in a way that throws the election. No court has ever considered any evidence of that. But Liberals keep repeating the lie because they can’t admit the truth about the election.
Just like they can’t admit the truth about gun crimes.

I understand why a POS like rAT would support a ban on firearms.
Many of the neighbors to his
dumpy little ranch housefabulous, lake front EsTAte probably have extensive collections and massive reserves of ammunition. And none of them like him.June 5th, 2022 at 5:47 pm
What a coincidence! I, too, have a fabulous lake front estate.
But mine is on the good side of the lake, southern exposure, sandy beach. It’s like the frikkin’ Caribbean out there. Also my boat house was grandfathered in. You ever read “A Diamond as Big as the Ritz”? It’s a lot like that.

You know who is to blame for this gun battle Saturday AM on Fraternity Row at the UM campus, right?

White men. Middle aged white men. Also the ‘gun lobby.’ Damn them! Damn them all to Hell!

Today’s Pravda:
“ Russia
POLITICS
Russia loses interest in Japan’s opinion on Kuril Islands
Russia will respond to Japan’s alleged illegal occupation of the Southern Kurils. The response will be, as is customary to say, asymmetrical. But Tokyo is not going to like it”
https://english.pravda.ru
Fucking told you. Russia is going to lose interest in a lot of opinions, now that Pedo Joe’s handlers and NATO have left them with nothing to lose.
And how ya liking them gas prices? lmao

*nothing else to lose

MP, don’t cast aspersions upon those future leaders. 10/10 a lack of respect left them with no recourse other than a volley of wild gunfire.
June 5th, 2022 at 8:49 pm
A couple of hundred shots fired, one casualty, a fifteen year old with a leg would. It would be hilarious, if occasionally a stray bullet didn’t kill a child as it slept.
This is how cities die. Or are killed. Frey was born and raised in Virginia, never set eyes on the Twin Cities until 2009. Huge investment and interest in the future of Minneapolis, there.
But this is what the political class gives us. As I wrote in a comment on another thread a few days ago, our “elites” act like middle managers in a corporation where the goal is not to go bankrupt this year.

I see that Pravda’s doing work every bit as good–and of course, fictional–as what they were doing when Leonid Brezhnev was still alive. It’s a good reminder that it’s a good idea for the United States and her allies to be well armed, both as nations and as individuals.
And count me completely unsurprised at Swiftee’s “source”.

“Now we will just take two ships that we have at our disposal, and then we will build other vessels. We will be developing the Kuril Islands, build new investment projects, develop tourism and continue our life and work on the Kuril Islands as part of, without a doubt, a territory of Russia,” Trutnev said.”
https://english.pravda.ru/russia/151415-kuril_islands/
So, Pravda just made that quote up out of thin air? There are no ships, there will be no construction.
Or maybe the Deputy Prime Minister is just kidding, like Putin did about Ukraine’s joining NATO.
lol

I don’t trust anything that comes from Russia. Everything they say is a lie.
I only trust information that comes from the United States government through the Office of Disinformation. They never lie.
June 6th, 2022 at 10:45 am
Regarding the article you linked, if you can’t see that Pravda is more or less acting as stenographers for Putin and his minions, I’m afraid I won’t be able to help you. At least when western media act as stenographers for the left, they write well enough that there is at least plausible deniability. Not so much with Pravda, and this is not just an artifact of translation.
June 7th, 2022 at 1:27 pm
Okay, yes, they’re both lying, but my liars tell more believeable lies than yours do. So that makes me right and you wrong.
Um . . . .
June 7th, 2022 at 1:57 pm
That’s why “pictures” are important. For example, people defending their own land tend not to launch massive artillery barrages at the residential areas where their own friends and families live–or at least “lived”. So when you see pictures of devastated residential areas, especially those far from the front lines, you can tell who did that, and who is the terrorist nation.
You can also consult estimates of how much weaponry each nation had prior to the war, and compare that with the estimates of materiel destroyed, and figure out which nation is blowing more smoke, and which nation is more honest.
Hint; it’s not close to parity at all. And again, the kind of “reporting” that Pravda is doing is obviously “the government is using them as stenographers”, and is not even trying to hide that fact. That’s a “tell” that, like their original claim that they were going to “de-nazify” a nation led by a Jew, that the Russians are all about bovine scat here.

Pallywood uses pictures.
Pictures are real.
Pallywood is real.
Um . . .
June 7th, 2022 at 5:45 pm
Um, Joe, there is a point where smart people can tell the difference between Hollywood props and reality, no? At $2.5 million a pop plus set of Anatevka/Kharkiv, do you think anybody’s buying a T-72 or two, creating a multimillion dollar set that looks like Ukraine, and blowing the **** out of it in a realistic way? In the same way, does any sane person think Hollywood or somebody is creating realistic-looking imitations of Soviet era apartment blocks and blasting them with artillery?
Seriously? Yes, computer animation is getting better and better, but even in Marvel movies, you can still tell that what they’re doing is fake.
Come on, Joe. You can do better than this. I don’t trust the government or the media any more than you do, but I can make reasonable inferences from the data I see. You can, too.
June 7th, 2022 at 10:53 pm
Can I? I see a blown-up building but I wasn’t there when it blew up, so I don’t know who blew it up or why. I see dead bodies in the street, but don’t know who killed them or why.
Perhaps the building was a parking ramp for a shopping mall, which was used by Ukrainian forces to store armored personnel carriers out of sight from helicopters. Perhaps blowing it up was Russia not targeting civilians, but targeting military. Perhaps the dead bodies were found lying in the street when the Russians withdrew, not killed by the Russians, but killed by the local population because they were collaborators.
You seem confident that you have the best information and have drawn the correct conclusions, that all other information is false and other conclusions are wrong. I lack your confidence in the information so I am reluctant to concede your conclusions.
June 7th, 2022 at 10:57 pm
Also, point of clarification, I did not say Hollywood, I said Pallywood. That was not a typo
June 8th, 2022 at 8:46 am
Ya know, Joe, you can infer some things about the type of building–housing looks a lot different from shopping centers or factories (smaller rooms, etc..), you can tell Stalinesque architecture a mile away, and the presence of a few “Jack in the Box” T-72s with their turrets blown off is a pretty dead giveaway about where you are, don’t you think?
Plus, if there were other locations in the world where T-72s were sporting a “Z” or two and lacking their turrets, don’t ya think we’d know? You know, the old journalistic adage, “if it bleeds, it leads” and all that?
June 8th, 2022 at 9:29 am
End result is the same – you believe the information you’ve been given, I remain skeptical.
I agree to disagree. Moving on to another thread. Thanks for the back-and-forth.
