All Is Happening As Foretold
By Mitch Berg
When government doesn’t provide the public order that people pay their taxes and exchange a bit of their liberty for, people will seek their own public order.
This is the polite, Midwestern version of that.
It won’t stay that way forever.

Gangs and a private security force? If this is Fallout, what chapter are we on?
February 3rd, 2022 at 7:48 am
Those detestable, leftist slobs used their wealth and influence to turn the public schools into toilets, and sent their kids to Breck.
They’ve done the same with the city, so why wouldn’t they follow through with the same response?
“YOU deal with the negro chaos we created. Leave us out of it. We’re much to sophisticated to be involved.”

MP, in 1990’s “Rabbit at rest”, John Updike’s final book in the series, society has crumbled, and FedEx provides armed security for the wealthy to keep the roving bands of looters at bay.
I thought it was ridiculous at the time, but then came AMAZON.

I almost spit out my coffee when I read Vivian C’s quote about being “worried about people being unfairly profiled.” I guess that she would rather get raped by some thug, than have him “unfairly profiled” before he gets a chance to do it. You just can’t make this shit up!
February 3rd, 2022 at 8:04 am
BH, that’s Vivian’s public face. Privately, she calls small Frey and demands he do “something about those people”.
February 3rd, 2022 at 8:06 am
That was one of the most bitterly amusing articles I’ve read in a long time. Every time I think that Minneapolitans (or Sta Paulites) maybe don’t deserve the crap they live under, guys like Tom T and Vivian C ask me to hold their beers.
February 3rd, 2022 at 8:10 am
Minneapolis should have voted to deny the proposal. After all, in June 2020:
“CNN anchor Alysin Camerota asked Lisa Bender, the president and representative from Ward 10, whom she should call if someone broke into her home, during an interview Monday morning, a day after the city council voted to dismantle the police department.
“Yes, I mean, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors,” she explained. “And I know — and myself, too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege. Because for those of us for whom the system is working, I think we need to step back and imagine what it would feel like to already live in that reality where calling the police may mean more harm is done.”
“And so in the very immediate, we have to lean into whatever changes we can make in our existing police department,” Bender said. “You know, I think we look to cities like Camden, New Jersey, that completely restructured their department, as we build up systems. And we’ve already done that. We are not starting from scratch.”
What’s changed since then which would entitle certain Minneapolitans to not only continue to enjoy their privilege, but to enhance it by their participation in the unequal distribution of societal resources? If the rich white people living in South Minneapolis have extra money to spend on hateful white supremacist causes like home security, that money ought to belong to the city, not to them.
Why would Minneapolis vote to allow this outrage?
Whose palms got greased, and what’s it cost to buy a council member these days?
February 3rd, 2022 at 8:20 am
And get a load of who they tapped to so the live spot.
Lol. These wretched slobs are beyond contempt.
February 3rd, 2022 at 9:16 am
There are different ways of paying for privilege. Yesterday a Minneapolis SWAT executed a search warrant at a high-end apartment complex downtown, looking for a suspected murderer. An armed man with a gun in the apartment was “executed” in the process. Of course, the execrable Jennifer Brooks reports that a new state lawmaker, a black woman by the name of Esther Agbaje, lives in the same building and was terrorized by the police showing up.
“A lobby full of police officers didn’t make Agbaje, a Black woman living in Breonna Taylor’s America, feel safer on Wednesday.”
Not noted was that she’s also living in the America of Jason Rivera, Wilbert Mora, Fernando Arrozo, John Painter, and JJ Jefferson. Those are the five police officers already killed in the line of duty this year – four by ambushes.

This weekend my wife and I are AirBnb-hosting a couple coming from Austin, Texas to scout the Twin Cities as a possible place to live. (They’re of the mind that they might as well see the area when the weather is at its worst.) Normally the rule of good hosting is to not get into politics. But you also don’t want to see your guests wander into harm’s way as they discover more of “the worst”.
Given that they’re from Austin, the sounds of egg-shells crunching may be heard throughout my home this weekend.
February 3rd, 2022 at 9:43 am
NW, according to Wiki, Agbaje graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in political science, the University of Pennsylvania with a M.P.A., and Harvard University with a J.D. [She] previously served at the United States Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. She is an associate attorney with Ciresi Conlin LLP, where she practices in general civil litigation and medical malpractice.
So, laptop class, basically coddled and pampered from at least 18… I didn’t see any mention of terrifying encounters with either Nigerian nor American police that would’ve left some sort of Post-traumatic stress disorder on the poor thing – perhaps it’s Post-traumatic amnesia.
Sounds more like a playing politics version of Pavlov’s Dog.
February 3rd, 2022 at 9:43 am
Night;
Austin is one of the largest libidiot bastions in Texas. As I drive around the metro, I’ve seen a lot of Texas plates over the past eight months and they’re not just visiting. IMO, the only reason Texans move here, even if it’s for a job, is because they are DemoCommies. They see Minnesota as a “safe space”.
February 3rd, 2022 at 10:07 am
boss, THE largest by %, but by shear numbers Houston and DFW likely house more libturds than Austin. Good riddance. Although many are replaced by CA libturds.

The whole woke thing is full of contradictions. White supremacy is supposed be so ingrained in American society that society must be completely reformed. Yet yo, personally, are supposed to be able to overcome it by an act of will. People who need to lose ten pounds but can’t avoid ordering from the dessert tray are supposed to be able to throw off centuries of culture by thinking about it, really, really hard.
February 3rd, 2022 at 10:24 am
Unless there is a yuge course correction in the very near future, the left in this country is going to be really unhappy about what happens next, though they believe it will come out well for them.
Look at the response to the truckers up north, they are being spoken of as terrorists. Wait til the truckers go on strike.
Nope, they are not going to like how this turns out.
February 3rd, 2022 at 10:30 am
Well, it is a defacto strike in Canada since convoy truckers are not carrying goods. I just saw that Saskatchewan is considering removing all wuhan flu mandates. Maybe it’s working? Can’t wait till truckers in the US get off their butts. It is going to hurt me personally, but hey, I’ll donate for them to run the convoy. In the meantime, Ottawa and Premier in Hiding are talking about sending army to confront the convoy of fringe terrorist element. Duddley Doright to the rescue!
February 3rd, 2022 at 10:35 am
NW, Esther Agbaje is from Nigeria; she was born there.
If she doesn’t feel safe here, why doesn’t she go home? And why would anyone elect a refugee from one of the world’s most fetid sh*thole countries to represent them here?
It’s insane.
February 3rd, 2022 at 10:37 am
jpa, I believe truckers in the states are gearing up for a run to DC. Of course faceboobs killed their page, can’t have unapproved speech in THIS country bub.

Kinlaw, many of the people who thought they would end up among the elite after the 1917 Russian revolution found themselves standing against a wall shortly after the Bolsheviks took power. Of course, that was just a warm-up exercise for Stalin.
Although many of the rank and file reprobates doing the dirty work today are wholly ignorant of history, those that have adequate educations and are aware of Communism’s history will tell you “Yeah, but it’s going to be different this time”.
They’re hypnotized.
February 3rd, 2022 at 10:47 am
It strikes me that paying for OT for cops just tires them out–I don’t know that it will actually increase arrests in the long term.
February 3rd, 2022 at 11:34 am

What does it matter? The little rascals who get arrested are back out on the street and on their way to Lowery Hills before Vivian C even knows it.

And the S’ists from Spain’s Popular Front of S’ists, C’ists, and Anarchists, were among the first against the wall (along with priests and seminarians) once the Popular Front came to power, leading to the Spanish Civil War.

That’s the other thing I’m concerned about. Well stated, jdm. Concern number three is that when people figure out that arrests are a revolving door, and criminals are not being put in jail, they will take measures to avoid being re-victimized. That will not go very well for anyone.
February 3rd, 2022 at 12:40 pm
Rich people don’t want criminals arrested or prosecuted or punished. They want them out of the neighborhood. How and why are irrelevent. Walking a beat, patrolling by squad, sitting in the car eating donuts with the cherries running to scare people away – it’s all good.
The rich mostly regard police officers as little better than uniformed thugs (never you let your daughter marry one – not our class, dear) but as long as the police are OUR thugs keeping criminals out of OUR neighborhood, that’s fine.
The big difference between hiring off-duty cops and hiring private security is the cops have arrest powers and can more easily get away with shooting people, which is a higher form of deterrent to crooks and well worth paying for.

Minneapolis and Saint Paul are one party towns. The people who choose the candidates are the most politically active, radical people.
These people got their party’s endorsement by pledging to reduce policing in the high crime parts of the city, to reduce arrests and get people who are convicted of crimes back onto the street faster.
These are winning messages, that is why they were elected. No one was voting with their eyes closed.
This is a bourgeois issue. Things will change only when the political class in Ramsey and Hennepin counties see their property values crash.

AKA, “Scarecrow Policing”. Crows are smart, though, and when they notice there aren’t as many scarecrows around anymore, they move in.
And while declining property values are a great motivator, those who’s life and health are directly threatened also vote. Frey basically ensured his re-election by distancing himself from the defund police chant, and a lot of those votes came from the most dangerous neighborhoods. A couple of the most out-front de-funders, in supposedly politically safe wards, also found that personal safety was a bigger issue than they realized.

Sniff. I love it when a story has a happy ending–or two stories in this case. Sure hope that truck wasn’t damaged too badly.
February 3rd, 2022 at 2:43 pm
^ Indeed. Didn’t it look, maybe it was just an optical illusion, like those rascals on the bridge didn’t put the car in Park? Cuz I wonder if things would’ve turned out so nice if it was in Park. On the other hand, I really felt horribl(y happy) in the other video when the car went right at the pistolero.

According to a couple of my customers that live in Ilhan Omar’s 5th, crime is out of control, but it’s not getting reported by the praetorian guard media. Even with that, my customers are convinced that the same morons that were the victims, will vote for the morally and intellectually bankrupt Jew hater.
February 3rd, 2022 at 3:25 pm
Sorry, MP, but that’s wrong. You can’t throw off racism if you’re white unless you allow others to think for you, and give them plenty of danegeld to show just how thankful you are for that privilege. Or haven’t you read your Kendi?
February 3rd, 2022 at 3:42 pm
@jdm The driver was getting out at about 0:21, so it likely was in park. You can see him get back in when the truck starts up at 0:24, and a few seconds later he applies the brakes, to no effect. He’s just lucky he wasn’t pushed off the bridge.
Avery Liberelle: “Nobody needs a truck that big!”

^ very good, nerd – thanks.
February 3rd, 2022 at 5:19 pm
Regarding whether the other car’s in park, that looks like something north of a 1-2 ton pickup. I’m guessing they have torque to burn on that that would flat out break the pin that puts the transmission into park.
Reminds me of the joke about the guy who’s flying to California for his new job and tells his seatmate how he’s sad about the riots, fires, earthquakes, and such, and his seatmate, a Californian, reassures him about how it’ll be fine when he finds a nice community schools, and the like. The guy’s reassured and says “say, Bob, what do you do for a living?”.
Bob answers “I’m a tailgunner on a bread truck.” Looks like that first video was a bunch of guys more or less trying to rob the bread truck.
February 4th, 2022 at 8:53 am

Well, money in some circles is referred to as bread, so I can see the confusion and maybe something got lost in translation.
February 4th, 2022 at 8:56 am
I need to get me a bigger truck.
February 4th, 2022 at 10:40 am
He probably had a bull bar too, so likely had minimum damage.
February 4th, 2022 at 12:06 pm
Also on the light side, it would have been priceless if “Bob” had been on that “bread truck” and taken action….
