And We Shall Call It “Minneapolis Syndrome”

Carjacking comes to Lynden Hills – the leafy, upper-upper-middle class part of Minneapolis that adjoins Edina.

…but we have to address whatever the greater problems are…that have brought about such system unrest. So my biggest hope is that enough of a light gets shined on this that we all start working toward some real substantive change.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and presume, given the language and the “white guilt”-addled neighborhood, that she’s not talking about ending “catch and release” and “bail reform” for habitual violent offenders?

Stockholm Syndrome is the psychological phemenon of people becoming attached to their hostage-takers.

Minneapolis Syndrome is one step beyond – where you blame yourself for the fact that they attacked you in the first place.

New version of an old saying: A Democrat Minneapolitan is a Democrat Minneapolitan who has been mugged.

That woman’s comment is nonsense; it means literally nothing. On the other hand, it’s the nonsense she’s been programmed to say, to robotically repeat.

This past summer in Chicago a crazy homeless guy attacked two women in separate incidents with a knife. One died. She was visiting the city and apparently was a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland in Criminal Justice studies. Her family made the following statement: “Anat worked tirelessly in the field of criminal justice to reduce racial and ethnic inequalities in the justice system,” the Kimchi family said in a statement, according to a report from The Associated Press and WTOP.
Really. I wonder what were her final thoughts as she bled to death in the street? I don’t mean to tap dance on her grave, but the irony of it speaks volumes about people’s ability to filter reality with a mishmash of fantasy and naivte.

At this point, they are getting exactly what they voted and live in that neighborhood for.

I’ll help friends move out, but I’m avoiding spending as much time as possible in the city.

    M. Thompson,
    I’ve become a fan of H.L. Mencken.

Sometimes democracy must be bathed in blood. Everything I did, all my actions, all of the problems I had I dedicate to God and to Chile, because I kept Chile from becoming Communist.
