Speaking Of Cuba

Am I the only one to whom this looks like a press release from the North Korean press office?

It’s a senior official in the Biden administration.

Am I the only person who hopes the protesters in Cuba didn’t choose the wrong Administration during which to break cover?

  1. When I saw this in the Epoch Times yesterday, the first thing I thought, was that Ms. Chung is a ChiCom plant within the Joey Demento administration. Before you laugh it off, consider these facts. Senator Dianne Feinstein, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, had a Chinese agent for a driver, for over 20 years. Big mouth Eric Swallwell, had a long affair with a Chinese agent Christine Fang. She also had relationships with other Democrat officials.

Funny! No investigations by neither the FBI nor DHS nor the DOJ? Hmmm.

  2. You might be surprised to hear me say this, being I’m such a big fan of Washington’s Farewell Address, but I’ve concluded in this instance, the United States should send international aid to allieviate the suffering of the people of Cuba. We should dispatch a sky train of C-130 aircraft to fly over and drop pallets by parachute as we did when the Berlin Wall went up. But what to send?

The Cuban people need food and medicine but there’s plenty of both on the island, it’s just poorly distributed, being hoarded by the rich and powerful, the wreckers and saboteurs impeding progress toward a just and fully communist society.

We should help the people, yes, but not by sending food and medicine. We should send AK-47’s and 7.62×39 ammo, tons and tons of both. Give the people the means to solve their own distribution problem and empower them to build their own future. Viva la Revolucion!

  3. Protest may be peaceful, but the response from the communists is nothing but. Condemnation from the left in three… two… ( crickets ).

  4. checking which word triggered fucking moderation, bear with me and no, I am not going to check “the” and “but”.

    communists

  5. Is there a word for “comically gaslighting”?
People shouting “freedom” and “Down with communism” are actually concerned about covid?
With the Biden administration, one must always assume that an official proclamation is a lie. This will be their downfall, because the truth will always out, that is why there is a special word for it, truth is not subsidiary.

  6. OMG! I can’t even say it with an @! Let me try again. C0ndemnation is the word. WHAT THE FUCK?!

  7. Joe, I like the idea of a Havana airlift, though to be honest, I’m guessing that the Cuban government would try to shoot down the planes. Scary thing is that I’d have to guess that we could provide the 30 million needles and vaccines they need within a week or two.

  8. Bikebubba, if the United States Air Force can’t protect international mercy flights from the three dozen fighters in the entire Cuban Air Force, then we should immediately disband the entire farcical outfit and give the planes back to the Army Air Corps.

We’re bringing FAMINE RELIEF for God’s sake. We’re EMPOWERING people. We cannot allow the OPPRESSORS to prevent us from HUMANITARIAN works.

    /sarc/

  9. Well, aside from the Cuban air force, there’d be anti-aircraft missile stations that would have to be suppressed, and then you’ve got a real shooting war. That would seem like an epic mismatch along the lines of the U.S. vs. Nigeria in basketball…oops, never mind. With this Administration, we’d likely end up giving Cuba all those red voters in Florida and DeSantis – which the cabal would probably like.

  10. The possibilities of the United States Air Force protecting international mercy flights, or providing any other assistance or support for the freedom loving Cubans with the current administration is zero.

  11. Good point, NW. Might take more than a few escort planes. Fortunately, we have the modern successor to Wild Weasels right here in Minnesota. I bet they’d be happy to get some cruise flight time. https://www.148fw.ang.af.mil/The-Wing/

As for a shooting war, perish the thought. A ‘war’ can only occur between two legitimate nation-states and theirs, being wholly illegitimate, doesn’t count (yes, it’s a rhetorical trick, define something out of existence and it’s no longer a problem. See also: rights of unborn child; riot; Covid breakthrough infection).

Think of this as a ‘live fire exercise’ to put an edge on our forces for the eventual invasion of the Middle East, whenever Susan Rice gets around to declaring one again.

It just occurred to me – this need not be a costly exercise. Put Hunter in charge of orchestrating bids from casino, hotel and resort owners willing to front the cost of a Peacekeeping Operation in exchange for, say, a 99 year lease on certain beachfront property subject to a requirement to save or create 1,000 jobs, each paying double the current market rate. We could actually make money on this deal, even after paying The Big Guy his 10%.

  12. We could actually make money on this deal, even after paying The Big Guy his 10%.

Or just tell the Big Guy we already paid him his 10%, and just keep it. He’ll never know.

As for a shooting war, there might be certain backers of the Cuban regime that might take exception. Leave it to this Administration to bring back the Cuban Missile Crisis (btw, the 60s called, and they want their foreign policy back).

Getting a consortium of hotel, casino, and resort owners together makes me wonder if Hyman Roth might still have an option on that deal.
