The Asylum

MInneapolis City Councilor Andrea Jenkins, presumably feeling herself swaddled in Urban Progressive Privilege and Intersectional Armor, went to a demonstration.

And was promptly out-lefted:

“BLM” blocked her car, demanding she sign a list of their demands:

Which, naturally, happened.

Let’s assume for a moment that this whole spiel isn’t staged, to give Jenkins’a whiff of the intersectional activist’s most important commodity, victimhood – and the fact that “BLM” put a dorky white kid in front of the car, allowing Jenkins to bellow about “white suprmacy” just loudly enough for the camera to pick it up, lends at least casual credence to the theory…

…and the more I think about it, the more I think “staged”.

But let’s pump the brakes. What if it was legitimate and organic?

Remember – if anyone replaces the clown car that is running Minneapolis – Frey, Jenkins, Cunningham, Alondra Cano, Jeremiah Ellison – it’s going to be someone to their left.

  1. If “trans women are women” why do they call them “trans women”instead of “women”?
    We know the answer.
“Trans women” rank higher on the Left’s intersectionality scale than just plain “women.”

  2. And the point of this from the standpoint of the protestors was ???? For some people junior high continues to infinity.

  3. Two hours? They sat there for two hours and no cops came, nobody cleared that soyboy off the street so traffic could resume? Incidents like these are why other states have adopted “run them over” legislation.

It won’t be long before someone trapped in traffic will phone a friend who owns a pickup with a Western Plow mounted on front, to come honking and speeding through the intersection. Get out of the way or get cut in half. Oh, you’re filming me? Too bad my license plates ‘fell off’ a few blocks back.

And shortly thereafter, another person trapped by protesters will phone a couple of different friends who will show up in a Hummer, leaning out the windows and standing up through the sunroof, firing assault rifles at ‘protesters’ taking cell phone videos. Run, vermin, run.

It will be horrible, of course, and the Governor will have no choice but to declare another state of emergency due to the gun violence public health crisis. A 24/7 curfew will be announced. All roads leading into Minneapolis will be barricaded with police checkpoints searching all vehicles for White Supremacists. Supplies of bottled water and toilet paper will vanish as residents loot stores in anticipation of reduced deliveries, forcing the Governor to announce confiscation of all pantries to fight the horders, wreckers and sabateurs.

Middle aged White Methodists will loot and burn big box retailers and drug stores as police call in sick, stricken by Covid Variant D which requires a 14 day quarantine.

I will sit in my living room, cradling my single-shot .22 (the only legal firearm after Biden’s ATF announces its new rules), ready to defend my family and property.

And every media outlet will assure me that it’s all Trump’s fault.

  4. What a shambles …..
They are no longer activists and protesters. They are bullies. They have become what they claim to hate.

Sad for this former world class city with lots of decent and really hard working residents to gradually disintegrate like this.

Crime, grime, inefficiency and woke leaders. Not a recipe for success.

  5. There’s pretty clear imagery of the soy boy standing in front of the car. Someone knows who he is, and where he lives. What if the Citizen’s Vigilence Committee was informed?

Suppose he went missing. Would there be a huge media outcry and massive manhunt?

The more observant among us came to realize this fact 13 months ago, or a few years ago (Snelling Ave – “Pigs in a blanket, fry them up”), if not 5-6 years ago (hands up don’t shoot). Some lunatic fringe people were saying this about the Occupy Wall Street movement that started up 10 years ago.

Maybe the so-called “lunatic fringe” types aren’t so lunaticky and fringey…

  7. Night Writer;
    Some might call them terrorists.

Can’t sympathize with Jenkins, because, along with the rest of the city clowncil, it made a deal with the devil and the devil now wants his due.

  8. “The more observant among us came to realize this fact 13 months ago, or a few years ago”

I know this may come as a shock but a lot of people on this site have difficulty with the concept of multiple things being simultaneously true.

  9. Not me. I’ve been practicing. I can now believe as many as THREE impossible things before breakfast.

Of course, I’m nowhere near as proficient as a Progressive such as the E-collectives. Pretty much everything they believe is impossible. But I’m trying.

  10. There’s pretty clear imagery of the soy boy standing in front of the car. Someone knows who he is, and where he lives.

What if it turned out that he’s not from around here, and is in fact an out-of-state white supremacist coming her to highjack peaceful protests? By Jove, then you’d have something! (Then again, per the Dartmouth medical school case, catching people in their sins is now reactionary and illegal.)

  11. c’mon NW et al… everyone knows the soy boy’s identity! It is… dum… dum… dummmm… UMBRELLA MAN!
