I Never Thought…

…we’d need a leader to stand at a dais and demand that a leader “Tear Down This Wall” in this country in my lifetime.

But here we are.

Guess we know what “Build Back Better” really means, now.

And when the media says Biden is a “return to normal” – almost in sync, almost like there’s still some back-channel communication going on – I do not recall Trump walling off the White House.

  1. Lest you forget the truth:
“Night of destruction across D.C. after protesters clash with police outside White House”

Trump was criticized for his heavy-handedness in using riot cops and tear gas to disperse those rioters.
Corporations, and their political arm, the Democrat Party, took the side of the DC protesters last June, just as they have taken side against the protesters of January 6th.

  2. Oh, no, no,no.
This isn’t Trump’s wall, Emery. That was meant to keep foreigners away.
This is the Democrats wall, directed towards Americans, not foreigners.
The one consistent difference between the Right and the Left is that the right declares war on foreigners, while the Left declares war on its own citizens.

  3. Let me fix that for you:
Directed towards American right wing extremists and not foreigners.

  4. Let me fix your gaslight-y “fix”, EI.

The permanent wall around the Capitol and White House is to “right wing extremists” as the German Invasion of Poland was about a “Polish attack on the Gleiwitz radio station”.

The Biden administration was going to be full-bore authoritiarian right out of the gate, no matter what. January 6? That was just a crisis not to waste.

  5. MBerg: your time would be much better spent preaching Antifa to your flock than bullshitting me.

Said “right wing extremists” now include nearly half the population.
I said it before, and I will say it again: If I believed that half of my countrymen were racist right wing extremists, I couldn’t live here.
Leftists feel differently. They think that they can win a war against the people they label “right wing extremists” (I know of literally not one person who accepts this label).
And, anyhow, most Leftists, in their heart of hearts, know that believing that a man in a dress is a man in a dress and not a woman makes them the extremist party. There are literally no words in the English language that accurately describe their ideas about humanity, they have to invent new ones.

  7. Hunting aside — does a gun owner have the gun to protect himself from Americans or just the few that present a danger?

  8. Meanwhile, the insurrectionists who shortly took over parts of the capitol have been charged with trespassing on federal property and mayhem.
These are the charges kids face when they get caught holding a kegger party in a national park.

  9. Fence, E. The point of the thread is Biden’s Fence and his armed guards and why he feels he needs them to keep people in line, much as the soviets needed the wall with armed guards in East Germany to keep the people in line, the wall which Ronaldus Magnus challenged them to tear down so those people could be free, the way we were free under President Trump before Biden’s Fence.

  10. One would figure that those on the left would figure out from their memories of the McCarthy hearings why it is dangerous to use invective like “right wing terrorists” as a term including nearly half the adult population. Apparently, however, the notion that you’ve got to remember you won’t always be in power is beyond them.

  11. Hey Reek! Great news.

They’ve just outed the founder of the Trump hating “Lincoln Project” as a homo pedophile. Yeah man, he has been creeping on adolescent boys, which is something I know you’re quite interested in.

    More #Winning, right Reek?

BTW….How’s the skiing up there on the birkie, Reek?

  12. BB
“the notion that you’ve got to remember you won’t always be in power is beyond them.”
but the problem here is that they look at China and DO believe they will always be in power.

  13. We should listen to Emory, because remember a guy in a buffalo hat sat in Nancy Pelosi’s chair!

  14. Herr Doktor Professor Strunk, to add to the Lincoln Project scandal, Weaver’s sexual abuse of young men and boys has been common knowledge among big-wogs on the right for years. Karl Rove threatened to expose Weaver in 2004.

  15. Karl Rove threatened to expose Weaver in 2004

So why didn’t he? Honest to god, the GOP establishment is just as creepy as the left.

  16. MO, the neo-Cons were finished the minute GWB took the oath for his second term.

As they toddle off into the sunset of their dodage, the evidence of their perfidy will continue to stain their legacy as badly as they stain their Depends.

Good riddance to bad trash, says I.

  17. Rove is a tactician. The threat, not the exposure, got him what he wanted (which was, I believe, chairmanship of the Texas GOP).

  18. Right. Which is why they are no better than the scumbags they are supposed to be fighting against.

These MFers don’t understand; when they trash Trump, we don’t see it as trashing Trump…I could care less about Trump. I see them trashing me and my people.

The whole stinking bunch can burn in hell as far as I’m concerned. I’m done with them.

  19. Apparently, however, the notion that you’ve got to remember you won’t always be in power is beyond them.

With HF1, they’re taking the opportunity while it’s still hot, to make sure they always will be in power.

And HF157 is their backstop in case HF1 fails to carry that out.
