How Does One Say “Berg’s Seventh Law” In Chinese?

You may find yourself looking back at the past four years.

You may find yourself wondering “why did the Democrats spend so much time and effort pushing the “Russian Collusion” hoax?

And you may say to yourself “Russia? They’re a paper tiger in a demographic spiral, keeping themselves afloat with arms sales and natural gas exports. They exert a tiny shadow of their influence compared even to thirty years ago”.

And you may ask yourself “Why does this make sense?”

And you may answer that question with a hearty “Berg’s Seventh Law explains it all”, as is usually the case.

Chinese intelligence has apparently been cultivating contacts among American politicians for years:

A suspected Chinese intelligence operative developed extensive ties with local and national politicians, including a U.S. congressman, in what U.S. officials believe was a political intelligence operation run by China’s main civilian spy agency between 2011 and 2015, Axios found in a yearlong investigation.

Keeping Berg’s 7th Law, and four years of chanting points about “collusion with Russia” in mind, any guesses which party their efforts were aimed at?

  1. with 140+ million people, and territory containing some of the richest deposits of rare earth and energy resources there is a reason that resource poor China would like the US to engage militarily with Russia. They would claim the eastern 2/3rds of Russian territory if their govt fails. With Biden/Obama/Clinton we(USA) were China’s cat’s-paw.

  2. Yup! First, it’s Diane Feinstein’s ChiCom driver that she employed for 20 years until he was outed. Funny! She was Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee for much of that time. Insert question here: how did he skate for so long? FBI? DHS?

Now, big mouth liar Eric Swalwell on the House Intelligence Committee, gets outed. I won’t be surprised to learn that Mr. “We’ve got tons of evidence of Trump’s Russian collusion” that he’s never produced, won’t be the next one exposed.

I know. Democrats in charge of intelligence, is becoming an oxymoron, but more telling is their willingness to do anything for a buck.

Needless to say, if I were in charge of DHS, I’d be perp walking all three of these CA losers, including their enablers, Pelosi and Shumer, into a back room, with one bright light, a rubber hose and a water board set up. They are all traitors, by any definition.

  3. CA congressman Eric Swallwell is exhibit #1: “The woman at the center of the operation, Fang Fang or Christine Fang, took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell’s 2014 reelection campaign and helped place an intern in the California Democrat’s office, according to Axios.”

Quote Swalwell: “In our investigation, we saw strong evidence of collusion”

  4. Thanks! I’ve been waiting for a major outlet to cover this web of Republican/Chinese intrigue and corruption. I know it was covered pre-Trump, but it needs this kind of scrutiny now.

The amount of money flowing between China-Foremost Shipping and the Chao Family-the Republican Party and Mitch McConnell is astounding, shocking and smacks of corruption.

But to put Elaine Chao in charge of regulating the industry of her family’s business without requiring her to recuse herself from matters benefiting her family’s business while her family funnels millions to the Republican Party and Mitch McConnell is outrageous.

So much for cleaning up the swamp.

  5. Funny how all this, AND Biden sonS’ tax problems and corruption gets “exposed” AFTER the election. It is as if MSM colluded to throw the election. Hmmmm…

  6. Many people have tax compliance shortcomings; perhaps Hunter Biden has some.

Looking forward to a full investigation of all suspects in tax evasion, including Individual #1, who apparently has been dodging taxes and truth for decades.

  7. Trump’s family are a group of sophisticated, well educated, accomplished and cultured people.

Sniffin Joe’s are best known for dick pics, crack pipes, incest and degeneracy.

This is what is called an assertion.
Emery, who, remember, has been wrong about Brexit, the winner of the 2016 election, and “Russian collusion” now would have us believe that he understands enough about the federal tax code to assert that Trump dodged paying due taxes.
Of course Emery does not know anything about Trump’s taxes, other than what was leaked to the NY Times and commented on by people whose expertise is in Trump-hating, not taxes.
Here is how an intelligent person (namely, me) looks at the issue.
Trump owns hundreds of millions or billions dollars worth of various assets. Believe it or not, that means that Trump does not put on his green eyeshade at 2 in the afternoon on April 14th, organize his 1099s, and start working on his Form 1040, trying, maybe, if he thinks he can get away with it, writing off his kids expensive summer camp as a deduction (as Obama’s firdt Secretary of the Treasury, Jack Lew, had done) (and no, Jack Lew saw no jail time for his flagrant tax cheating).
Trump has his taxes performed by an accounting firm, Mazar & associates.
Now accounting firms that do the taxes of millionaire real estate investors & celebrities are often quite aggressive in interpreting rules to save their clients money. Sometimes too aggressive. Who knows? I don’t.
But I do know that when they file their client’s taxes, they are subject to extraordinary scrutiny by the IRS. Their auditors make bonuses based on how much they can make people like Trump cough up.
The IRS accepted Trump’s return, and has audited him more or less continuously for years.
So the chance of finding something indictable in the returns is pretty slim.
The chance of convincing anyone, D or R, that any tax evasion charges are not political in nature is 0%.

  10. 👆Just another Trumpalo who bought the ticket 🎫 and is taking the hard ride. This is some weapons grade cray-cray! After all this time, I’m still shocked how many people misjudge their moments in life.

Conspiracism has supplanted conservatism as the reigning ideology in the GOP.

  11. Emery, again you misunderstand clearly written English.
For all I know, Trump spent years conniving with Mazar & associates to cheat on his taxes.
I am not defending Trump. I am attacking you, and your shoddy excuse for reasoning.

  12. Yea, once again, Emery the bottom dweller deflects away from the illegal deeds of his heroes. Incidentally, after stonewalling for over a year, the FBI admits that they have Seth Rich’s laptop. They have yet to admit that they killed him to protect the witch Hillary Clinton. I have a feeling that in the event Trump loses, he will do a major dump of declassified info and burn both the Democrats and their propaganda machine to the fucking ground!

  13. To the issue of Swalwell and his girlfriend–evidently Xi Jinping in drag, according to the most reliable news outlet I can think of these days–it has struck me for years that it’s remarkable how little understanding Democrats seem to have of the fact that bad things happen in national security when someone knows you’ve been sleeping with strange women or doing shady business deals.

And it strikes me that Ms.Pelosi didn’t remove him from leadership positions after she knew this. Heck, she didn’t do it even after he started spouting off utter BS about the Russiagate case.

  14. Woolly wrote: something, something — “Brexit”.

Brexit has turned out like a fart inside an elevator. Everybody smells it but nobody takes responsibility for it.

Unlike the fart in an elevator which is transitory, the fallout from Brexit will be persistent.

  15. Brexit has turned out like a fart inside an elevator. Everybody smells it but nobody takes responsibility for it.
On the contrary, Boris Johnson was explicitly elected, in a historical landslide, based solely on his promise to enact the results of Brexit referendum.
Your adherence to the party line of The Economist is remarkable. You return, again and again, to a poisoned well. This explains why you are so full of poison.

  16. I don’t think that the people who believed the Brexit lies will fully understand the value of membership of the EU until their fresh food fails to arrive, their jobs at Nissan have disappeared and ex-pats in Spain aren’t given free health-care now their E-111 cards have expired. Only then will they understand that their oven-ready Australian Brexit deal promised by Boris wasn’t more than a plate of burnt pork pies. Thatcher must be spinning in her grave, the single market and anti State-aid rules was probably one of her best achievements.

  17. Emery, Emery, Emery.
Thatcher began to oppose tighter integration with the EU in the late 80s, when she realized what opponents of Brit entry into the EU had been saying for decades — that it was a political project, not an economic project.

  18. Lazy comment…

What the Brexiters still have not worked out is that the EU can — and will — set the terms for the the UK to access its market, based on its concept of ‘fair competition’.

You can leave the EU, but you cannot access its market on preferential terms and undercut it. So, you are free to choose — whether you are willing to make the compromises necessary. If you are not, then you have to work out where you are going to regain the lost trade.
