He Said, He Said

So as Gary Miller notes, Rudy Giuliani didn’t exactly say, as I reported the other day, “If a Democrat is elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.”

So to preserve the universal stasis, Gary adds…:

That didn’t stop Senator Obama from saying Giuliani had taken the “politics of fear” to a new low.

Well, the Mayor may not have said it but I am, Senator.

If you or Ms. Rodham are elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.

Any questions, beotch?

None here.

  1. You mean like Bush has been doing for six years?

    Oh, that was a question?

    No.

  2. Krikee, this thread is full of low level bickering. Can’t learn from it – just middle school taunting.
What can you do? Well, grade it, or judge it like a contest I guess:

Mitch loses several times – resorts to “captured by terrorists” fantasy (more likely to die from a lightening strike – but what the hey- Dungeons and Dragons is fun) and falls off the point (again)when trying to rescue Kermit; pundits and think-tankers are not miliitary planners. (Mitch – you’ve really got to do better – that 3:22 comment has F in debate written all over it).

Yossarian argues with facts not in evidence, and declares himself the winner.

Kermit starts off well below his game, and ends on a real low note

Paul starts strong with the scientific method, then falls on his face when he gets to the part that cannot be tested, declaring “Liberals arranged that” (bet Paul does not have a science degree and never worked in an R&D position requiring results).
He then goes into a massive cut and paste snow job, with a kernel of a good argument on why Bush is not a moron – but of course that is not the question.

AC has no logical argument, but gets in a couple witty zingers (sitting duch targets, so not a lot of points)

Doug does well with both wit and two arguments that are never taken down by argumentation. He stumbles on only one comment and has several good retorts.

Slash does well with wit and one argument.

Kermit and Mitch are not up to par on this one. Sllash and especially Doug pretty much mop the floor with them.

Entertaining in a perverse way – not enlightening though (unless your into fighter jets).

  3. Coldeye,

The “captured by terrorists” thing was not a “fantasy” as much as a personal dig at Slash (whom I “know” from the same place I know AC); it was a shot inside the 10 ring.

Doug resorted (per form) to facile japes which were easily disposed of.

Also, it’s my blog, so I always win.

  4. Mitch:
    Logic rules argumentation.
Logic wins. You just think you do.
