Shot In The Dark: Tomorrow’s News, 15 Years Ago

It’s been percolating about “prog” social media lately – the notion that Trump, should he lose the election, wouldn’t relinquish office.

Never mind how, or whether it’s remotely plausible. All that is necessary for the left-wing noise machine is to get the chatters chattering.

But as to “why would they be spreading such palpable poppycock?”

If you’re a regular reader, you know Berg’s Seventh Law.

  1. Within the context of the fighting retreat by Democrats over the past four years regarding Trump’s victory in 2016, I’d say there’s a better than probable chance that they won’t accept another victory in 2020. This is why, if there’s any reason to trust the various institutions of government, it is so necessary that Republicans keep the Senate and take the House.

If there’s little or no reason to trust the various institutions of government, then, well, (continue to) buy guns and ammo. Man.

  2. Pete Buttigieg had the best answer:
“I mean, if he won’t leave, I guess if he’s willing to do chores we could work something out.”

  3. So the people who have been wrong about everything are now saying Trump won’t leave if he is defeated.
So there is nothing to worry about.
We do know how democrats feel about respecting their presidential losses, don’t we?

  4. If, in 2016, you predicted a third of the things Trump has said and done, the anti-anti-Trump people would have hooted and jeered that you have Trump Derangement Syndrome.

They’re still desperately saying it now. Why does anyone listen to them?

  5. Beyond blather, into the gibberish zone.
And still does not change that fact that you are not afraid to shre your opinion, and you are consistently proven wrong by real world events, Emery.
Remember that “russian collusion” report that every intelligence signed off on?
Turns out it was bullshit, and they knew it was bullshit when they put their seals of approval on it.

  6. Is Sparky still alive? We go way, way back. Do they still sell you a ten cent paper bag of herring to throw to him?

  7. Mamm, herring is now a delicacy and Sparky is on his ninth life. All seals look alike.

  8. To paraphrase the Onion:
“That’s just Trump Derangement Syndrome” Says Increasingly Nervous Man For Seventh Time This Year

Unfortunately, I think we’re being generous to say they perceive well enough to get nervous about anything he does.
