Nothing Good Happens After Midnight 6PM

One man stabbed to death in an incident on the Ventura Trolley (Blue LIne) by the Mall of America Wednesday night:

tro Transit police and Bloomington police were called to a Park & Ride just north of the Mall of America station shortly before 1 a.m.
Metro Transit spokesperson Howie Padilla said video shows a fight between two men on the Blue Line ended after one of them pulled a knife.

Will the city’s “Resiliency” Department handle this? Or will it be the Bikeability director?

Not sure the people who run these cities realize what “quality of life” problems are going to do to this city’s future.

  1. Will the city’s “Resiliency” Department handle this? Or will it be the Bikeability director?

Since no bikes were involved, it could hardly be a case for Bikeability and given that the victim died, this is obviously not a resiliency issue.

    Best to ignore it altogether.

  2. I’ve been following this story because it has some unusual details. The person who did the stabbing was described as a 67-year-old man. The dead guy was later identified as being 42-years-old. I was wondering if this was a case of someone hassling, robbing or mugging an elderly person on the LRT. That may well be the case, but the elderly man has a long criminal history of his own, including sexual assault. Do young thugs eventually turn into old thugs? It will be interesting to see how this story emerges (if it’s allowed to be told).

Regardless, the LRT is not a healthy, happy place for anyone, and certainly not older folks.

    FTFY

(hoping I got the tags right)

  4. And I did. Whew.

And now it just occurred to me, tinfoil-hatted conspiracy theorist that I can sometimes be…

Maybe the people in charge know darn well what kind of “quality of life” problems their policies can cause. And they continue to encourage it as a means to an end.

As always, never allow the easy excuse of stupidity causing problems when malice is far more likely.

  5. So, Bill C, in your conspiracy theory, what is that “end”? I mean, I’m not disagreeing, I’m just curious.

I do like your complete rewrite of Hanlon’s Razor, but I prefer to replace that simple reason of malice to malicious stupidity. I mean, given the left’s indefatigable inability to understand the consequences of their actions, I don’t think it’s reasonable to remove stupidity.
