  1. Perhaps the class size will increase once rumors that Lee Paige is a instructor have been quashed.

  2. Kids at risk of alcohol abuse, give them alcohol awareness education.
Kids at risk of sexually transmitted disease, give them sex education.
Kids at risk of misusing guns . . . what? Gun safety education, duh.

Good for him, I’m glad to see somebody stepping up.

  3. This could be a good thing.
Believe it or not, blacks legally own firearms at a much smaller rate than whites. It’s like one in ten blacks vs. 1 in 3 whites. That is one reason why blacks are so pro gun control; it doesn’t effect them as much as it does whites. They see gun control as disarming whites, which, to them, is a good thing.

  4. Gun safety class was a rite of passage in SW Minnesota when I was a kid. I believe it would be good for all kids to go through the training.

I agree with JD – it’s the pinnacle of inconsistency from liberals to believe in universal sex ed to keep kids safe but not give them any gun safety training for the same reason.

  5. afro-american yoots

$100 buck says not one of those yoots could name 1 country in Africa.
$10 bucks says they could not find Africa on a map.

You’re talking about Negro Americans. You can call them “black” (that’s pretty racist), but none of them have the slightest link to Africa. Please stop playing the leftist word salad game.

    Thenk yew.

    Fixed that for me.

  7. I’ve had the privilege of giving very beginning firearms training to urban black kids, and it was great. The big challenge I had to achieve was to explain to them why they were starting with a .22 rifle instead of a pistol. Once they understood that, they really did things well.

I think kids of all races/ethnicities ought to have this opportunity, and for that matter ought to see what happens when a large piece of meat is hit by pistol or rifle fire. Just might help a lot of issues all over.
