    … let’s not forget the Grand Old Man of Stories in the Morgue, Chappaquiddick. As put by AP today:
    50 years ago today, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy left a party on Chappaquiddick Island near Martha’s Vineyard with Mary Jo Kopechne, 28; some time later, Kennedy’s car went off a bridge into the water. Kennedy was able to escape, but Kopechne drowned.

    Follow-up comment:
    Surprisingly, AP fails to mention that Kennedy was driving drunk, that he left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown, did not call the police for help and didn’t report the accident until the following day.

    The “we don’t know what Mueller knows” guy thinks other people live in a fever swamp of conspiracy theories?
    The evidence that Omar committed immigration fraud is huge. She even filed joint tax returns with one “husband” while being legally married to another “husband.” That’s illegal, BTW. If you or I did it, we’d be looking at jail time.
    FWIW, the anti-Omar forces are finally getting a little traction in the MSM. Don’t know if it will help rid the people of CD 5 of their anti-American rep. If an NY Times “journalist” was handed incontrovertible proof that Omar had lied on her citizenship app, they’d burn it.

    alas the good citizens of CD 5 are thrilled with Omar and have no interest in replacing a champion, “truth-teller”, and Marxist standard bearer of such stature. (fever swamp alert) A couple CD5 activists(baby boomers with pussy hats) have confided to me that when Amy Klobuchar becomes President that they see Omar as her natural replacement.

    Your guy spent millions of tax payer dollars, and came up with nuttin’.
    Use a little critical thinking. Mueller had found out within days or a few weeks of starting his investigation that Trump was not colluding with the Russians. If his excuse for not filing obstruction charges is what he says it is (the JD will never refer charges against a sitting president), what the Hell was he doing for two years?
    You are on the wrong side.

    It’s funny, MP. I have friends who are conservative as hell that refuse to vote GOP. It sounds funny, but Southerners can hold a grudge like no one else. Their granddaddy’s would have sooner stuck a white hot ice pick in their ears than vote GOP. That mentality has lasted to this day for a not insignificant number of “New Southerners”.

    I think the jig is up for Omar. The national media is starting to pay attention. The Strib recently got inquiries about Omar’s weird marriage history from Politico. The Strib people are having to explain themselves to their media big brothers. Ouch. The Strib didn’t blame the “right-wing fever swamp” for the persistence of the story. The Strib blamed Omar for refusing to answer legitimate questions (such as what it means to married and divorced in her “faith tradition”).
    She’s hiding something bad, and when it is exposed there will be a lot of egg on the faces of the national press, the local CD 5 press, and the Democrat Party.

    The intellectual collapse of the #nevertrumpers continues. The other day I was listening to Jonah Goldberg’s podcast (he is worth listening to on any topic other than Trump). Goldberg was interviewing David French. Both agreed that it was reasonable, given Trump’s rhetoric, to suspect him of courting Russian help in the 2016 election.
    But what what neither Goldberg or French wanted to discuss was whether that suspicion was grounds to appoint a special prosecutor. Given what we now know, it clearly was not. Carter Page, Papadopolous and Flynn seem to have been ensnared in a JD trap engineered by anti-Trump partisans (Strzok, Ohr, McCabe). Carter Page was supposed to be the link between Putin-controlled Russian oligarchs and the Trump campaign. Mueller uses Page’s name in his report, but does not mention that Page has never been charged with any crime.

    The real bad guy here, although he may have committed no crime, is James Comey. He resisted right up to the moment where he had no choice but take a stand, then he caved to the pressure, every single time. He should have resigned in January 2016, before the Dem primaries began. After January 2016, he could not indict Hillary w/o being accused of influencing the Democrat primaries. It was all downhill from there, finishing with his admission that he used a legal loophole to leak anti-Trump info, weeks after agreeing to become the FBI director to the Worst Person in the World.

    Not really. They cover up when told to cover up and they reveal when told to reveal. No one gets blamed for following orders.

    Judicial Watch has filed a complaint with the House Ethics Committee,alleging marriage and immigration law violations against Omar. We’ll see how far it goes. Supporting Omar in the light of crimes intended to get around immigration law would be an ugly look, and any replacement from CD 5 wouldn’t change things in the house.

    Your right, MP. The degenerates in CD 5 will find someone just as nasty; certainly there is no shortage of them there.

    But immigration fraud carries the possibility of having citizenship revoked, as well as jail time.

    Think of the morale booster that would be. Picture Omar strutting the filthy streets of her hometown again. Beautiful.

    She might get some kind of ‘Dreamer’ reprieve from deportation, Swiftee. She arrived as a child.
    But again I will assert that Omar is just plain not bright. She had to know that there were shady immigration things in her background, yet she takes on high profile political positions that could expose her & get her deported. She is only just as smart as she has to be for a female, black immigrant to get a degree from UND on political science.
    I found this gem about the high school bullying she experienced on her wikipedia page: “She recalls gum being pressed into her hijab, being pushed down stairs, and physical taunts while she was changing for gym class.”
    Could never happen to a white, Christian, American girl, could it?
