State Of Mind

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema – who’s running against Martha McSally to replace Jeff Flake – had this to say about women who choose to stay at home with the kids:

“These women who act like staying at home, leeching off their husbands or boyfriends, and just cashing the checks is some sort of feminism because they’re choosing to live that life,” she told Scottsdale nightlife magazine 944. “That’s bullshit. I mean, what the f*** are we really talking about here?”

She later claimed she was joking.

Which makes me wonder – given last week’s claim by “suspended” MNDFL staffer William Davis that his call for Republicans to be “guillotined” after the election was “an inside joke” – what is with that Democrat sense of humor?

  1. When I was a youngster, I saw a movie called “The Enforcer” starring Clint Eastwood as “Dirty Harry.” You may recall, those were the days when Hollywood actresses complained that there were no “strong roles for women” or was that there are no “strong women for roles?”

Anyway, Tyne Daly was cast in a strong-woman role as Clint Eastwood’s affirmative-action partner. The open-minded Dirty Harry patiently explained to Ms. Daly “…if you want to play lumberjack, you’re going to have to learn to handle your end of the log.”

Many years and many strong-roles for women later, our women seem weaker than ever with one exception: They’ve learned to swear worse than lumberjacks.

  2. Some jokes are forgivable, some are not. What is not forgivable is the media deciding which is which based on the who, not the what.

  3. As the husband of a stay at home mom, this is strange. Am I to believe that my wife would have been better off taking home about a buck an hour (yes, I calculated it) to be a technical writer writing a manual for a product that would never be released? Nursing the little one and making sure the wouldn’t be catching infections in daycare while risking being abused by the workers counts for nothing? Having the time to teach piano, sewing, Latin, knitting, and the like doesn’t count for as much as….working in a daycare center, or working fast food, or working in retail, or any number of other professions where I see a lot of young mothers?

Neil deGrasse Tyson made an insanely stupid argument along these lines, too, and I have to ask; what if it is really more important for a mother to be feeding her baby and playing with it? What if all those studies that find that the best daycare can do is to match the outcomes of welfare moms are for real?

  4. Perhaps this is a little off topic – so forgive me.

As we all know The Washington Post owned by Jeff Bezos hired Jamal Khashogg. Terrible thing. And of course the Wapo and the media has gone into hysterical overdrive over Mr. Khashogg’s apparent murder by the Saudi’s

    Countries should not murder people.

But I also note that Jeff Bezos’s Amazon.com proudly sells Che Guevara t-shirts, berets and posters. The sad thing about this is that it takes a conservative to appreciate the irony.

  5. Frankly my goal is to make enough money so my future wife can be a stay at home Mom if she wants. I also hope to marry someone who could beat this dumb bitch to a pulp in a fight if needed.

  6. The loss of the stay at home mom directly correlates to the decline of American society.
With no one available to watch what was going on, leftists were free to pump young minds full of BS.
We’re into our 2nd generation of public school NPC’s taking positions of authority.

The good news is, home schooling is exploding. The bad news is, those kids are being replaced by low IQ kids here illegally from 3rd world shitholes…and their mothers ARE staying at home while we and our kids work to subsidize them.

  7. I’m not going to predict a winner in the Arizona race. I will go out on a limb, though, & say that it all depends on turnout.

  8. The turnout of the independents & the people who make up their minds at the last moment!
