  1. “He also points to a national climate of racism that many see as an outgrowth of Trump’s election.”
Other than on the nation’s campuses, there is less of a climate of racism now than in any time in our nation’s history. Why would the reporter say this? Oh, yeah, it’s NPR. I do wonder, though, what the writer would say if his editor asked him to justify the use of the statement “He also points to a national climate of racism that many see as an outgrowth of Trump’s election”? The words of the person used to justify this statement are:

“We look at what’s happening in the political arena in terms of the conversations and the types of conversations,” he says. “We see folks that were on the fringes of society, let’s say, eight, nine, 10 years ago. But they’re now out front talking about various things that are somewhat disturbing.”

“8, 9, 10 years ago” refers to the years Obama was president, not Trump.

  2. Lots of delightful news about our elites in the #MeToo and gun control movement today. One champion of #MeToo, Connecticut congressman Elizabeth Esty, is facing calls to step down because she defended her one-time chief of staff, Tony Baker. Baker had not only sexually harassed female staff members, he had threatened violence against more than one of them. And it gets better: “Baker went to work as the Ohio state director of Sandy Hook Promise, an anti-gun violence advocacy group created after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Esty’s district, but he no longer works there.”

Just imagine how wonderful our lives would be if people like Esty & Baker had the fine-grained control over our lives that they literally lust for!

  3. So, they have re-created the Negro league for shooting sports.

    Super duper.
