Plowman’s Holiday

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

A college classmate went on an Alaska cruise.  She loved it.  I look at the advertising photo and think: “Seriously?  You’re all lined up to look at a snowbank?

Where the hell are you from, that a snowbank is a big deal?”

I could make a fortune showiing people snowbanks along rural North Dakota highways…

  1. Looks like a typical unplowed city of St. Paul residential alley ‘long about late March to me.

  2. Yes, but it’s snowbanks that fall into the water when the ship honks its horn.

That’s so much better than snowbanks that sit there gathering gravel until everything melts in June!

    I’m sure of it. 🙂

  3. FB, are implying that cruise ships are responsible for calfing and not global warming? Heretic.

  4. I for one love looking at the snowplows that they use in Yooperland….pretty dumb of the railroad to allow us to see for free, eh?
