If there had been Twitter back in 350 BC, the Spartans would have been great. When Philip II of Macedonian wanted to conquer Laconia, he sent the Spartans a message: Submit once, for if I bring my army into your land, I will destroy your farms, slay your people, and raze your city.
The Spartan reply: “If.”
