Journalists and actors and leaky politicians love to claim they’re part of The Resistance, as if Trump were Hitler and these schmucks were the French Underground. So Brave.
Except members of The Resistance were summarily executed. Lined up and shot. That was the price they agreed to pay when they decided to join.
Trump should reinstitute the policy, for the sake of verisimilitude. Put some skin in the game or drop your claim to stolen valor.

The number of “progressives” who know more about history than they learned in 11th grade would fit into a Prius with room for a load of (Whole Foods* groceries in the front seat.
I am simply exhausted from all the winning Trump has delivered. Perhaps I need to take a bit of time off and play golf?
Given that the membership of the French Resistance ballooned after the war was over, that seems to me to be the exact right metaphor to use.
There are times when I wish the non-Left *would* actually start acting lin the manner the Left fantasizes. Think how happy they’ll be to see their worst fears manifested.
There is a simple question — is Trump physically and mentally capable of fulfilling his demanding job? I doubt that he is able to grasp the implications of things he does or does not do.
They already do see their worst fears manifested, jdm: that’s what the brown(-shirt) colored glasses are for.
It is hard to prevail when one is arrayed against an entire network dedicated to the lack of reality, including the liberal left and the media. But I repeat myself.
That said, if a journalist proclaims himself to be part of “Le Resistance”, maybe….just maybe….an honorable manager ought to suggest he find other work? Just sayin’.
