On April 2, It’s Not Funny Anymore
By Mitch Berg
A regular reader writes:
If only all of the transit oriented development projects that have destroyed neighborhoods had been just an April Fool’s day joke…
Alas, the other 364 days a year, the government of Saint Paul and the Met Council are as funny as chemotherapy.

Great prank! It proves, yet again, that libidiots love them some light rail, just so it’s NIMBY!
Mitch, isn’t there a Berg’s Law that covers this?

Reprobate leftists were mildly upset at the the idea they might have to step around construction debris to get a latte, or a nice brie and hummus sampler.
But considering how many businesses (tacky Asian buffets that they didn’t patronize) went out of business on University led to OUTRAGE at the thought trendy, sustainable, socially conscious businesses (that they do patronize) might be similarly endangered.

Well, if Grand won’t work, what about one block north? I’m sure the residents won’t mind.

AGS,
Well, one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the TC, Hoa Bien, is not a buffet and they almost had to throw in the towel. Fortunately, they survived because their regular customers loaned them about $15,000. To stay in business after the banks cut them off. They now have a new bank, business is booming and they have humbly repaid all of their benefactors.
