Triangulation

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

Trump’s convention speech criticized free trade and foreign military adventurism.  America First!

Cue Liberals to warn of catastrophic global economic collapse if the United States fails to continue subsidizing the rest of the world’s trade and security with our blood and treasure.

 Joe Doakes

It’s a Clinton thing.

  1. The new thing is that the Russians control Trump. I hear Hillary has a list of 23 Russians in the state department…..I mean in the Trump campaign.

  2. “Free” trade has been a boon — for Mexico, China, South Korea, etc. It’s alleviated a huge amount of world poverty. Too bad it’s been at the expense of the American middle class. They would never have put up with a direct tax that moved that much of their money to foreigners, but the global elites are smart enough to have hidden it in a program that massively benefited them.

  3. NOTE FROM MITCH TO DG:

I’m about ready to start whiting you out again.

Please reply to the various responses to your comments yesterday.

    Thanks.

    Doakes, you idiot — seriously?

Trump, the man who himself outsources a LOT of jobs, says nothing about how he plans to alter trade agreements. I doubt he knows what is even in them, given his demonstrable ignorance of other documents like the Constitution. But they cannot be simply abandoned or changed as he promises to do. Which sane and educated people understand, along with understanding the global economy.

We are already seeing the severe economic downturn in the UK from them exiting the EU. Most of those listed on the nations seeking “NEW TRADE AGREEMENTS” that Mitch bragged up…….well, Mitch was apparently unaware that most of them already HAD trade agreements, trade agreements predicated on the EU membership. Those were renegotiations of existing trade agreements being sought, because the UK fucked up the ones they had. Interesting side point, the UK had the strongest economic growth after joining the EU of any nation. Before / without it, economic growth was tepid at best, and had been for a long time. And we are seeing the Brexit affect other nations economies, including our own, and not for the better.

Trump claims he is just going to undo trade agreements. No thought of how, legal or otherwise.

And yeah, those Russian ties look pretty real and pretty serious. Not only Putin’s mob connections, but Trump’s are well documented. I spent a good part of the last two days trying to ascertain the depth and breadth of them, as well as how long they have existed.

When you factor in how many of Trump’s businesses have gone belly up, how many people he has cheated or not paid — most recently the kids he hired to perform for his primary campaign — and that he proposes to not honor the Constitution required full credit of the United States…………dear God.

How did the GOP let a mobster on their ticket? There were claims, apparently legit ones, back during the JFK campaign that his dad back in the day had been involved in bootlegging, but so had many others. It was a national epidemic. There was however no indication that Joe Kennedy had continued other than that period.

That is not true of Trump, who presides over what is broadly considered a mob controlled country.

And now it comes out that Russia was responsible for hacking the DNC, AND for changing the content of the emails. And even the FBI confirms this was timed to coincide with the Democratic convention. And yeah, Chuck — Manafort is one of the main ties to Putin, he’s running the Trump campaign. LOOK IT UP for yourself. It is not a false accusation.

So, we are back Joe to how ignorant are you and other right wingers?

  4. WHY would you trust someone like Trump who does so badly? Here is the latest news on Trump losing the not-paying-his-bills lawsuit in Florida, on top of SIX business bankruptcies. This is part of a larger pattern which makes his ability to operate to support the full faith and credit of the US..

    http://www.miamiherald.com/entertainment/ent-columns-blogs/jose-lambiet/article91353232.html

Have you seen the anti-Trump video made by your 2012 candidate Mitt Romney?

And speaking of foreign military misadventures……………how about Trump claiming he’d put 30,000 troops on the ground in Syria? Never mind the many reasons that is bullshit — do you want to throw more blood and treasure down that mid-east shit-hole?

  5. That should have read ‘part of the pattern which makes Trump’s ability to operate to support and defend the full faith and credit of the US government impossible.’

  6. Do some research, fools. THIS is who you want to put in charge of changing trade agreements? Don’t trust Trump’s own self-serving revisionist history of events.

“It was, the real estate developer admits in his 1997 book “The Art of the Comeback,” the darkest period of his professional life. In his telling, it’s a story of redemption, of resilience, and proof of his exceptional negotiating skills and shrewd thinking.

Six people who participated in the loan workout negotiations have a different recollection, raising questions about a key part of the personal narrative that many of Trump’s supporters have found compelling as he campaigns to be the next president of the United States on Nov. 8. On the campaign trail he has portrayed himself as a survivor and a master negotiator.

Trump says his comeback began when he recognized a downturn in the real estate market and quickly asked banks to renegotiate his loans. “That decision was perhaps the smartest thing I did,” he wrote.

The six bankers and lawyers involved in the talks say the bailout wasn’t based on any overture Trump initiated with the banks – and the terms of the deal were dictated by what was best for the banks, not Trump.

Three of the participants say Trump didn’t acknowledge he had a problem until his lenders reviewed his books, realized he was on the brink of collapse, and summoned him for debt restructuring talks. ”

  7. do you want to throw more blood and treasure down that mid-east shit-hole?

And who knows more about shitholes than poop-and-run DG? Especially those created, dug and filled in by her precious 0bumbler/sHrillary dynamic duo.

  8. DG howled her fantasia: “That is not true of Trump, who presides over what is broadly considered a mob controlled country.”

which country is that exactly DG, inquiring minds want to know

  9. OK, for starters, it appears that Mr. Trump has had four business bankruptcies, not six. There are those vaunted DG “facts” again.

Regarding the negotiation of trade deals, NAFTA is two volumes, and GATT is something like 22000 pages. No man alive on earth could understand either well, and we ought to conclude as well that, while both may have their advantages and disadvantages versus the previous status quo, neither is about free trade. They are about a different regulation of trade.

Again, there are those vaunted DG “facts”. Just like his citation of a blog as his source. Hint: DG, if you’re going to pull that stunt, don’t go around picking on other peoples’ sources.

I’m no huge fan of Mr. Drumpf, either, but what I do know is that unlike Hilliary, he doesn’t have 34 Democratic Senators who will prevent him from being removed from office, and there also is not clear evidence that he belongs in jail for perjury, obstruction of justice, lying to investigators, exposure of classified information, and destruction of government records.

  10. AND for changing the content of the emails.

OK. I can’t take this idiocy any longer. Every time I read some bit of mindless crap from dog, I lose brain cells. I’ll be boycotting threads she shits into.

  11. Trump claims he is just going to undo trade agreements. No thought of how, legal or otherwise.

Obama promised to close the detention facility at Gitmo, and even signed an executive order on 22 Jan 2009 that said the facility would be closed “no later than a year” from the date of the order. Guess he didn’t think it through?

  12. And yeah, those Russian ties look pretty real and pretty serious. Not only Putin’s mob connections, but Trump’s are well documented. I spent a good part of the last two days trying to ascertain the depth and breadth of them, as well as how long they have existed.

And do you have anything to show from your two days of effort? A link? An article?

    Hello? tap-tap Is thing on?

  13. Correction on my part; third paragraph should read “Just like HER citation of a blog as HER source.” And kudos to Kel for his catch.

  14. How did the GOP let a mobster on their ticket?

Because the GOP doesn’t use super-delegates.

There were claims, apparently legit ones, back during the JFK campaign that his dad back in the day had been involved in bootlegging, but so had many others. It was a national epidemic. There was however no indication that Joe Kennedy had continued other than that period.

Since you like to treat accusations as proof, I’ll turn it around: There’s no indication that Joe Kennedy didn’t continue, either!

  15. One other note; whether it is prudent to send 30,000 soldiers to Syria does not depend on whether or not the nation is, or is not, a cavity with excrement. It depends on what said cavity for excrement can do to the United States and the rest of the world, a question where the left assiduously comes down on the wrong side.

  16. And now it comes out that Russia was responsible for hacking the DNC, AND for changing the content of the emails.

    Proof?

From that bastion of conservatism, The Atlantic:

On Sunday, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook went on ABC’s This Week and repeated the allegation.

“What’s disturbing about this entire situation is that experts are telling us that Russian state actors broke into the DNC, took all these emails and now are leaking them out through these Web sites …. for the purpose of helping Donald Trump,” he said. Mook also questioned whether the emails had been “doctored.”

There’s a whiff of CYA to this line of argument, the type of pleading delivered by a DNC that’s been caught in a bad place. Mook’s question aside, there seem to be no serious cases where DNC employees have claimed their emails were altered.

On question for you, DG: If, as you and Mr. Mook claim, the DNC e-mails’ content was changed prior to being leaked, why did DWS step down?

  17. Doggy, you lying Shillary clone, please enlighten us. What jobs did Trump outsource? Be specific.

Of course, your usual left wing dog crap hypocrisy is on full display, again.

You libidiots have no problem posting your lies and propaganda using computers and cell phones that are manufactured via slave labor in communist China, do you? Yes, Doogy, these jobs were outsourced by lefties like Bill Gates, Michael Dell and Steve Jobs. But then, it’s great to live in a glass house, isn’t it DG?

  18. Dog Gone, I have a perfectly withering response that will totally destroy your arguments and probably go viral besides – but I won’t post it until you answer Mitch.

  19. DG barked: “And speaking of foreign military misadventures……………how about Trump claiming he’d put 30,000 troops on the ground in Syria? “

considering that NATO countries, our allies, are under continuing and escalating attack from agents of the New Levant, 30k troops might be the very least we could do to hold up our end of the NATO deal.
DG, you do want Trump to support our NATO allies don’t you?

  20. DG mewled an apology: “There were claims, apparently legit ones, back during the JFK campaign that his dad back in the day had been involved in bootlegging, but so had many others. It was a national epidemic. There was however no indication that Joe Kennedy had continued other than that period.”

Specifically Mr Kennedy was an arms dealer who accepted payment in rum and whiskey while providing guns that significantly destabilized Central and South America not to mention the related gun deaths he was directly responsible for. This was not something “many others” were doing DG. After centuries of English oppression Joe Kennedy, like any good Irishman, saw the writing on the wall with the repeal of the Volstead Act and knew it was time to stay ahead of the government. So he moved into a business where there was a LOT of untraceable cash: movies. Specifically he took his criminal enterprise legit by buying RKO Studios bringing with him mob controlled unions and firmly cementing the link between Hollywood and the mob-linked Democrat party. The RKO studios and their chains of theaters gave him a ready made cash laundering operation that he leased out to his mob friends/clients until the early 50’s. So once again your ignorance betrays you DG.

  21. I like to think of the pro-Hillary crowd as the “put a serial rapist in the White House’ faction.

  22. AND for changing the content of the emails.

That should be VERY easy to prove since recipients/senders are clearly identified and should have the originals. Waiting, waiting, waiting… Logic, meet DG. Oops, sorry Logic, it seems DG is eating her own crap sandwich again and cannot shake hands.

  23. And yeah, those Russian ties look pretty real and pretty serious. Not only Putin’s mob connections, but Trump’s are well documented.

Ah, but not so well as Kennedy’s! Remember when Teddy ran to Kremlin to help Dems help defeat Reagan? No? Of course you don’t. Maybe eTASS can enlighten you, when he is done pulling the NRA quote out of his ass, I mean interwebs.

  24. FDR thought he’d stick a thumb in the eye of the Brits by appointing limey-hating Joe Kennedy as ambassador to the court of Saint James. Kennedy was also pro-Nazi, which led to FDR replacing him when things got serious in Europe in 1940.
Let us not forget the inglorious military career of Teddy Kennedy. To piss off the old man, Teddy joined the army in 1951, while the Korean War was raging. Papa Joe pulled strings and had his enlistment shortened, and got his assignment changed from military intelligence to embassy guard in Paris.

  25. Regarding the Kennedys, don’t forget that JFK was nearly court martialed after having an affair with a German spy in WWII. That’s why, after all, he got sent to the Pacific in a PT boat instead of a more glorious billet on a carrier or battleship. His dad had to call FDR to get him bailed out of that one, more or less.

And well said on the Democrats in the 1970s and 1980s regarding the Evil Empire. It is as if they were incapable of reading Solzhenitsyn.

  26. I spent a good part of the last two days trying to ascertain the depth and breadth of them

Must be nice to not have to have a productive job so you can spend your time digging up dirt on the political opposition.

  27. I spent a good part of the last two days trying to ascertain the depth and breadth of them

OK, so you are not only apparently a trust fund baby who doesn’t have to work, but for all that effort, you have zero citations that you can share with us about the matter. Not even anything from the Wobblies or the Birchers.

Can’t you even do conspiracy theories right?

  28. If you want to know how Putin became Putin, read Kate Dawisha’s Putin’s Kleptocracy.
The old Soviet Union had a lot of money invested in Western European countries. The KGB had control over the accounts, and the CPUSSR had control of the KGB. When the Soviet Union collapsed, no one was watching the store, and the KGB looted the accounts. Putin became a bridge between the KGB guys who controlled the accounts and the money launderers in the Russian Mafia. Eventually he took over both the banks and the money laundering business. He did this using whatever means were necessary, including imprisoning his competitors or having them killed. The typical method would be arrest for corruption, and then the prisoner would die at the hands of another inmate.
Before the Soviet Union collapsed, Putin was in the section of the KGB that monitored the Stasi and kept them from going rogue.
Putin is in a whole ‘nother league than Trump is.
