  1. Of course, being a big-shot journalist, the writer is too important to look up the historical precedent he cites to learn that it doesn’t apply to the situation at hand. There was a punishment of being sewn in a bag with animals and dumped in the river – poena cullei – but it applied to people who killed their fathers. In other words, it was capital punishment for a heinous crime, not retribution taken on an opposition politician.

The traditional American punishment would be coating the offenders with pine sap and feathers then chasing them out of town.

  2. The violent rhetoric that is very common in the Democrat Party is remarkable in that our Democrat Party Dominated Media Culture (DPDMC) find it unremarkable. Remember when Gabby Giffords was wounded and a half dozen others killed by a lunatic, our DPDMC found Sarah Palin guilty of targeting Giffords because Palin put computer program default location map markers that somewhat looked like targets on competitive districts that happened to include Giffords district? The DPDMC even went so far as to correct themselves but primarily Republican pundits on using ‘martial’ language to describe political activity for a little while after that.
Oh how things have changed (not really). Reliable DPDMC outlet (and place where ‘moderate’ Republicans leak trash on their more Conservative colleagues) “Politico” had a story out yesterday on the Sanders campaign that uses terms such as: “burn-it-all-down”; “blasting him”; “knife fight” (twice); “dead enders” and “at-the-helm”.

Democrats love political violence (as evidenced by their anti-Trump protests and Nevada convention) and their violent political rhetoric. Even Hillary Clinton couldn’t bring herself to condemn the violence against the Trumpalo’s in Cali (not a shock- Clinton went so far as to blame the victims – old habits die hard I guess). Why it’s as if they aren’t far removed from the beatings, fire hoses and police dogs they used to put down their political opposition in the good ol’ Dixie Democrat South.

  3. Letter to the editor sent encouraging Mr. Henderson to be fired. If he can’t disagree without being disagreeable, I’d have to suggest that newspaper editor is NOT his calling in life.

  4. Speaking of Big Media…..walk by a newsstand today and look at the front page, above the fold, of the Mpls paper. Its basically a full page ad for Hillary. If the Democrats get Citizens United overturned, I wonder if we can go after that paper for corporate political speech?

  5. There have been some YouTube videos showing up that have a leader of a chapter of the KKK stating that they want Shillary to get elected, so much so that they contributed $25,000 to her campaign. Trying to find them.

  6. Along these same lines, I heard about this on the other talk station this morning:

“Sorry Liberals, A Violent Response To Trump Is As Logical As Any”

Yet further reinforcing my opinion that things will not get better until those Trump (or whoever) supporters who are violently attacked, defend themselves with lethal force. The protesters and violence-proponents obviously have no respect for, or fear of, law enforcement personnel. They need to fear for their lives.

  7. Bill, keep in mind that of Mr. Drumpf is actually there, his supporters will not be armed because of the Secret Service.
