Sweat It Out

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

Sure, things are great now but in 80 years, they’ll suck.  So give me all your money today.

There’s a reason that message doesn’t resonate with ordinary voters and it has nothing to do with science.

The climate mafia strives for Al Capone.  They achieve something more like Elmer Gantry.

  1. Also their so called solutions have nothing to do with their so called problem.

The places with the WORST environments are places with socialist economies.

  2. “Since Americans first heard the term global warming in the 1970s…” the article starts out in the first sentence. Funny, I seem to remember things differently from that time:
    https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2012/07/06/1974-flooding-drought-crop-loss-and-mild-winters-blamed-on-global-cooling/
Now I was just a child, but the environmental ‘policies’ I remember from that time were the “Don’t Litter” campaigns (because trash thrown from the window of a ’71 Bonneville made a 1st generation Italian-American actor who impersonated Native Americans in the movies tear up as it hit his feet) and the don’t dump the used motor oil from that same ’71 Bonneville down the sewer because the fish will die and then the river will catch on fire as you are scooping your drinking water from it.
Both were mere common sense but massive government bureaucracy’s were created to, heh, “re-enforce” the common sense with armed agents. Thanks, Oba- , I mean Nixon.

  3. Biggest problems with this “crisis” are:
    a) If you believe the climate models (and you can’t, they are WAAAY wrong), global temperatures are about on par with past trends, about at the level described as “beneficial” and the same as the targets that came out of the Paris conference, while being below past warm periods! It’s a non-problem!
    b) If you believe the climate models (and you can’t, they are WAAAY wrong), radical reductions in man-made CO2 won’t much matter– about 0.05 degrees over 100 years. So what you have is a non-solution and a very expensive one!
