Sorry for a little off-topic but speaking of libturd myopia and hypocrisy: we have a couple of coyotes roaming the neighborhood, in plain daylight. So a couple of concerned folks took to NextDoor to offer solutions: relocation, crossbow, .22 (silenced) to get the predators away from the households and keep pets and children safe. Immediately, a bleeding heart opined that we are too cruel and that coyotes were here before the houses went up and that we should coexist (her word). Yet, she lives in a very ritzy neighborhood which used to be pasture where coyotes roamed. She was taken to the shed, very politely, and was whipped until she whimpered away (much like DG). The biggest beating was administered by a CA transplant who lost a couple of pets to coyotes when he lived in the failed state. It was priceless. There is no arguing with people who have no morality nor humanity in them, people represented by likes of DG and eTASS.

A friend of mine sent me a couple of pictures, one of which was a wellhead where fracking was happening. This showed how unobtrusive these sites are on the land.
The caption stated; “Liberals rant about how bad fracking is. Well, take a look at this site mining the lithium for the batteries in their electric cars”. Followed by a picture of an open pit mining operation that would put pits on the Iron Range to shame.
Bosshoss, I remember the same thing back when the Prii were using NiMH (the rats from?) batteries. Lots of sulfates in nickel ores, and in the refining process–not good for the environment there.
Most environmentalists are blissfully unaware how nasty the process of mining a lot of these metals really is.
