  1. There is a political concept that says the narrative is more important than the facts. Bad electrical wiring causes a black church to burn….lets say evil white racists started it. Close enough. The new sHillary ad attacking Wisconsin’s Johnson Controls….that company never asked for nor received free government money, but the ad Hillary says they did anyway. Because that’s the story they need. Or even things like the Sarah Palin “I can see Russia from my house”. Of course she never said that, but it makes such a good story that the Democrats ran with it anyway. What was the stat? 80% of Democrat voters think she actually said that. You get the story out there that you want, even if it isn’t true.

  2. Chuck,

Great point on Shillary’s attack ad on Johnson Controls. If I were running that company, I would be holding townhall meetings within the company to denounce her lie, then get the board to allow a lawsuit against her and her campaign for illegal use of their logo, as well as trespassing.

Of course, she makes no mention of all of the Delphi workers that the Democrats screwed during the financial crisis while protecting their union benefactors.

  3. What was stolen?
    C4? 10, 000 rounds of 7.62×39 ammo? K-Bar beheading knives? Some ANFO?

  4. Most people that I know who are Muslims have values and traditions that seem pretty akin to Republican values. They like to have parental control of what is taught to their children, so it doesn’t clash with their faith. They want to practice their faith without persecution. They want their health care to be between their doctor/family, not from a beauracracy. My guess is Democrats are pretty scared to lose those votes and thus want to make sure Republicans are portrayed as the evil side.

  5. MJB…..Republicans really need to reach out to Muslims (if they aren’t already). Remember that the Cedar – Riverside neighborhood voted overwhelmingly against gay marriage in the referendum. Nearby white neighborhood voted as much as 80% in favor of it.

  6. Chuck, the problem is, most Minnesota Muslims are Somali economic refugees. As soon as they got there, the DFL sucked all the blood out of them and pumped them full of “gimme juice”. They are beyond reaching out to at this point.

I think it is more likely that the Twin Cities Muzzy clan will eventually take over the TC DFL, and pass a platform that will make Avery Liberell’s pointy head spin.

  7. BZ’s post went into a wrong thread. You are welcome.

When it comes to political and social views, Muslims are far more likely to identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party (70%) than the Republican Party (11%) and to say they prefer a bigger government providing more services (68%) over a smaller government providing fewer services (21%). As of 2011, U.S. Muslims were somewhat split between those who said homosexuality should be accepted by society (39%) and those who said it should be discouraged (45%), although the group had grown considerably more accepting of homosexuality since a similar survey was conducted in 2007.

  8. let me see…

    …bigger government providing more services

homosexuality should be accepted by society (39%) and those who said it should be discouraged (45%)

What does that remind you of? Why, it is the morals and customs of countries they ‘fled”. And they are overwhelmingly voting dumbocrat; Muslims are far more likely to identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party (70%) than the Republican Party (11%) That means that Demoncrat party is so close to dictatorial regimes that people who are refusing to assimilate prefer it by a 7:1 margin.

  10. In the final years of my career in health care I watched in amazement as many Somalis deftly played the system like a Stradivarius. They aren’t stupid. The system was there for the taking and that’s what they do.

  11. golfdoc50;

Yup! It didn’t take them long to game the entire system. They also game unemployment and welfare.

That explains why so many of them come here. The word has gotten around the entire country’s population of deadbeats and scammers that Minnesota social programs amount to having a personal ATM.

  12. Wow. When media implies that Republicans are to blame for vandalism, it is difficult to help change the minds of my peers that Republicans actually have our country’s best interest at heart. It is even more difficult to do that when we as a party tend to write off whole groups of people based on skewed interactions. Yes, there are refugees who are probably gaming the system. But, gaming the system isn’t inherently a Muslim trait. I mean Donald Trump admits to gaming the system in terms of doing business. And those interactions are skewed. There is a population of immigrants who are Muslim and working here legally and who have health insurance. If we don’t like the system, change it. If the system is run by Democrats because they’ve got the votes, then, yes, Chuck is right-reach out to those voters. If we think it is too late for those voters, why wouldn’t it be too late for any voter?
