Here is something, found buried in the biz section of the strib, that could use some exposure
http://m.startribune.com/mnsure-users-still-waiting-for-tax-forms/371589931/
Personally, I think MNSure is a test by the government, to see just how stupid the public is, and how many failures we will put up with before making a peep.

swiftee, a delay in tax forms is not a failure, it is a minor glitch. You can tell the difference because the purpose of mnsure is not providing tax forms, it is to reduce the number of uninsured Minnesotans — which it has done very well.

http://insurancenewsnet.com/oarticle/research-conducted-at-minnesota-department-of-health-has-updated-our-knowledge-about-health-insurance-coverage-gains-after-the-affordable-care-act
“According to the news reporters, the research concluded: “Targeting outreach, simplifying the enrollment process, focusing on affordability, and continuing funding for in-person assistance will be important in the future.”
For more information on this research see: Coverage Gains After the Affordable Care Act Among the Uninsured in Minnesota. American Journal of Public Health, 2015;105():S658-S664. Just because a large project like mnsure has had its share of problems does not constitute failure.
If you were going to define perfection as the sole measure of success, there would be plenty of conservative efforts that were far greater failures by that metric. Tsk tsk tsk — another example of the conservative double standard in action.
Come to think of it, the premise for Obamacare IS a conservative creation………

DG,
First, you need to drop the chanting point that “Obamacare is a conservative creation”. The individual mandate was part of a number of conservative plans for universal healthcare, it is true – combined with a system of traditional risk-pooled insurance plans. The plans were, for the most part, not far from the German or Swiss systems – where private, risk-pooled insurance is paired with subsidies or direct payment programs for the poorest users and for those with pre-existing conditions.
But Obamacare basically abolishes “insurance” as we know it, and turns it into “cost-sharing”. Which means everyone shares in the costs. Which means healthy people pay lots and not-so-healthy people…also pay lots.
This was not a “a conservative creation”.
And I fully realize that to liberals, the previous three paragraphs may has well have been written in Chinese.

And, as if by magic, dg bobs up to make make the point that stupidity tests are not unwarranted. I didn’t plan that, I swear.
