Honesty Is Bad For Business

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

Islam teaches it’s okay to lie to support of the spread of Islam.  A lie told in support of The Objective is not wrong.

Liberal reporter, activists and politicians believe a lie told in support of The Narrative is not wrong; see, for example, Dan Rather’s “Fake But Accurate” report, Mattress Girl’s fake rape campaign, Black hate crime hoaxes, and data tortured to support Global Warming or the notion that Barack Obama’s economy is robust.

In Minnesota, cops are taught to lie to suspects, to gain a confession.  A lie told in pursuit of justice is not wrong.

No wonder conservatives say America is facing a “crisis of legitimacy;” the people empowered to run this country are not trustworthy.  Conversely, Liberals, Muslims and cops can’t trust us, because they assume “normal” for us is the same as “normal” for them: lying all the time.

What brought America to this point?  Abandonment of a nationally shared Judeo-Christian moral code.

How do we fix it?

  1. What brought America to this point?

Joe has an answer, but it can be summed up more completely and succinctly: Liberals.

  2. I remember about 15 years back, I was listening to a speaker note how sad it was not only that the country had elected a congenital liar to the Presidency (Mr. Clinton), but worse yet that nobody seemed to care about it. Scary.

  3. There are those on the right, but more so on the left, that see politics as a team sport. Your side is always right and always needs to win. The other side is always bad and always needs to be defeated. That is why so many on the left still support Bill Clinton, even though he is a rapist. But damn it, he is our rapist.

  4. It seems to be a common thing to say that Reagan is too far Left (or moderate) to be elected president by today’s republicans.
This is bull. Every Republican presidential nominee since Reagan has been further to the Left than Reagan was.
But Bill Clinton is too conservative to be elected by today’s Democrats. Every candidate the Dems have chosen to be their presidential candidate, from 2000 until today, has been further to the Left than Bill Clinton.
Remember Bill Clinton’s ‘sista soljah’ moment? Wouldn’t happen today.

  5. Not that SITDers need to be reminded, but here is what Bill Clinton did as President:
    -Signed welfare reform
-Promoted and signed Defense of Marriage Act
    -Bombed brown skinned people
    -Religious Freedom Act
    -Free trade
    -Further deregulation

Imagine a Republican running on the above and what today’s Democrat party would say.

  6. Chuck is right.

As much as we don’t like Slick Willy, he did some things that were against the left wing tide. He also understood real economics, not subscribing to the voodoo kind that his excellency Barackus Obamanus I and his puppet Bennie Bernanke practice.

On the other hand, he sold secret technology to the Chinese, failed to take out Osama bin Laden three times and was the father of the housing crisis of 2008, just to name a few off the top of my head.

  7. Willy signed what came across his desk because he knew what side his bread was buttered on, not because he was a secret Republican.

Remember his “The era of big government is over” speech? That was pure self-preservation. See, in addition to being congenital liars and low life reprobates of the worst sort, the Clinton’s (both of them) are consummate panderers and self-preservationists. Today’s leftist slobs recognize it and endorse it.

  8. Here’s a terrific article that explains some of it.

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/what-explains-the-vicious-left/article/2000390

Albert Mohler mentioned this article in his daily podcast today. My own personal experience as of late would say this professor of computer science is on to something. In things such as climate change and abortion, most liberals would like to burn heretics at the stake.

Some of the lines in the article that I think are most interesting are:
“Hence the gross asymmetry of modern politics. For most conservatives, politics is just politics. For most liberals, politics is their faith, in default of any other; it is the basis of their moral life.”

“Traditional religion used to be the iron grate that kept worldly beliefs from falling into the flames and turning into red-hot religious convictions in their own right. Among most conservatives it still is.”
