On abortion, Bill “the Science Guy” Nye doesn’t know much more about the science of human reproduction than any of the “progressive” bloggers who, lets be honest, are never going to find anyone who’ll let them get a shot at it.

ME: “Bill, you’re a mechanical engineer. Not a biologist or a climatologist.”
BILL: “Yeah. But I was on Public TV. Talking about science to children. Were you?”
ME: “No. But what does that have to do with…”
BILL: “Denier! You are just like those who believe Hitler didn’t kill 6 million Jews!”
ME: “Wha…”
BILL: -drops mike-
“Republicans are anti-science”.
Oh yeah…is that thing in the mothers womb a separate human?
“No”
So she doesn’t have a distinct DNA and blood type that is different than her mother’s?
“Ummm you support capital punishment, you hypocrite”
Huh?
I don’t trust guys who wear bow ties.
“…that when a man and a woman have sexual intercourse, they always have a baby.”
It seems that Bill is mixing up the Bible and Monty Python’s Meaning of Life.

Egad, that is a fellow that really knows how to take all doubt out of the idea liberals are fundamentally ignorant.
That being said, if Nye offers a boxed set of his ignorant ravings, our search for Emery’s Christmas present is over.
…and, SmithStCrx…since both Bill Nye AND Monty Python were on PBS…
Although, I’ve always had an appreciation for Monty Python’s intended parody, as opposed to some self righteous, self important unintended parody.
Nye’s thoughts on global warming are equally dumb.
On another forum I read a comment that contrasted the science-based argument of the pro-life side versus the half-baked metaphysics and magical thinking of the pro-abortion side (see coquette’s theory that a zygote doesn’t get soul from “white magic jesus”, but instead becomes a person when it meets arbitrary requirements set by politicians).
