The Best Thing…

By Mitch Berg

…about Obama’s honeymoon being over and his political capital falling to mere human levels

…might be an eventual end, sooner or later, to all those “Obama asks moms to go back to school” banner ads.

Just saying.

I have not seen these banner ads. Thanks NoScript! 🙂

  2. Margaret Says:

My favorite ones are pervy pictures that look like somebody secretly filmed an aerobics class. Not.

  3. Mitch Berg Says:

Troy, NoScript cuts down on ’em (thanks!) but plenty of them are on blogs via ‘img’ links.

Margaret: Yep. Or the one where it looks like they’re following a woman jogging. WTH?

  4. Troy Says:

Doh! I always forget I have AdblockPlus too, so that might be why. It’s inconvenient when you enable scripts and ask yourself “why the heck isn’t this page showing up right?” and then kick yourself when you finally see the red “ABP” stop sign on the button bar.

How long until Pepsi goes for a new logo?

  6. nerdbert Says:

Yes, AdBlockPlus and NoScript rule. (And yes, I turn them off here.) They’re the things preventing me from even considering something like Chrome or Opera as an alternative browser.

The funny thing about political capital: you don’t have to spend it if you win something the majority of the people want, instead you get even more.

With even the Left admitting The Won is spending political capital even faster than the country’s monetary capital, what does that tell us about what The Won is attempting to deliver?

What will this mean to out local Sorosphere with the lure of $1500 monthly stipends?

I still say that the new talking pop ups make me want to kill whoever invented them, they are the most annoying thing since well, popups. How about the Obama banner ads that could probably give some people an epeleptic seziures? Those seem to have gone away too
