A story about guns in a Twin Cities media outlet – in this case the City Pages – that not only ignores any of Heather Martens’ blather…
… but gets virtually all of its (highly learned and accurate) content from Joe Olson?
I am saying is in all honesty and without the faintest hint of sardonicism – I never saw that coming.
Wow! A Hamline law guy tells it like it is and the meat of his comments gets published in a traditional lefty rag. Impressive!
Now, who would have expected this from the City Pages and a Hamline professor?
I guess when the world seemingly turns upside down…and keeps turning, it eventually rights itself.
Actually, the City Pages was one of the first lefty rags to pay even lip service to covering 2nd Amendment issues fairly. Back in the mid-nineties, I actually read some of their stuff on the subject that made me go “Wow – I wish the Strib was this fair and even-handed”.
It blew my mind even then.
“A Hamline law guy”
Joe Olsen was a HUGE contributor in getting the carry law in MN passed. He was also a past president of MN GOCRA.
