The correct response when Obama said it was his house should have been “No MotherF’er. it’s OUR HOUSE!

Yes, you were the only one Mitch.

Carter’s legacy is thriving, and looking better with every passing year.

And no, escapefromstl, while he is presiding in the White House, he is entitled to assert that it is ‘his’ house in so far as it is his presidency — he is the one who is in charge there, and guests should expect to act accordingly or be escorted out.

That is why it has been standard practice to refer to activity in the White House by the name of the president at the time, ie, (in no particular order) the Truman White House, the Eisenhower White House, the Lincoln White House, the Reagan White House, the Nixon White House, the Bush White House, the Clinton White House, etc.

You appear to be the ignorant MotherF’er. Damn conservative efforts to push their sad revisionist history. Once again, the right hypocritically and selectively tries to fault the sitting president for doing exactly the same thing other presidents have done in the past, and for selectively ignoring traditional use and usage.

Raising the same old tired question — are conservatives more ignorant, or more nasty, or is it an equal mix of both? .

It must take a Herculean amount of effort and contortion to lodge your head so firmly and inextricably up your own ass.

Oddly enough, you’re right, ya fetid waste of flesh!

Carter started his path to redemption the day the leader of the Choom gang put his AJ’s up on the Resolute desk and lit up his first Kool in the Oval office.

    DG,

While in probably 90%+ of the comments you’ve left here over the past six or seven years I’ve silently wondered “how many moons orbit the world whoever wrote DG’s chanting points thinks they’re living on right now”, you have – improbably – gotten something right.

Carter’s legacy is thriving, and looking better with every passing year.

Yep. Since 2009, not only is he no longer the worst president of of our lifetimes, but he’s pulling ahead bit by bit every month.

he is entitled to assert that it is ‘his’ house in so far as it is his presidency

    Right, nobody argued that.

Merely that his reaction to being heckled sounded like a junior high kid trying and failing to sound cool.

Raising the same old tired question…

Well, you got the tired part right. Give it a rest.

I’m with “escapefromstl” here. The White House belongs to the people, not President Obama and it says something about the man that he forgets that. Plus, his answer to the heckler was pretty pathetic. Exactly why should we ignore our immigration laws for this group of people? We do have asylum as a provision in them in the case that returning to their home countries would entail grievous harm or death, after all.

Agreed 100% that Carter looks better every day that Obama is in the White House, though, but that’s like saying that being downwind of a dairy farm is better than being downwind of a poultry operation. It’s not saying much.

Unfortunately Doggy, you are, once again, illustrating the phrase; “everyone in this room is now dumber for having heard that.”

Harry Truman was the last Democrat POTUS with any shred of integrity. When offered a highly compensated position after he left the White House, he informed the organization like this; “‘You don’t want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it’s not for sale.”

Unfortunately, power seeking, lying, cheating, scum ball liberal presidents, including the Kenyan Klown, will sell to the highest bidder!

    Stick it, DG!!

DG called it – 2009 to the present makes every previous President look significantly better. Embarrassing but true …….

This country no longer belongs to the people. Get over it! Any bets 0bumbler will run for third term and SCOTUS will let him by deciding it is a tax? Constitution is dead, long live Imperial Presidency!
